The Post

I remember when the post would come before leaving for school/college/work. But these days it can be any time really. However, 10am onwards is most common (on a Thursday atleast, as im off that day each week).

When does your post arrive (sad question but im bored atm and wanted to start a poll)

We usd to have a delivery before I went to school and then another about 11.00am but that was when the post office was providing a service unlike now. I was told that irrespective of when you post a letter in Burgess Hill or Haywards Heath it only gets taken to the sorting office at 2.30pm each day.

Usually between 9 and 9.30, although I'm rarely in at that time so it might be later.

My postie has just turned up right now haha. Popped along to the sorting office to collect a parcel this morning after missing it yesterday, they were manic.

Ur lucky I don't get my post till 3pm nearly every day and I am lucky if I get my own post as the post man hasn't got a brain sell and get all different address

I was expecting a parcel at some point this morning and, wondering when it would turn up, I made sure I was up nice and early. When I heard the flutter of the letterbox, I assumed it was my parcel and came to the door, waiting for him to ring the bell. Instead it was a 'Sorry, you were out' card. I then watched him trudge up my neighbours path and just leave it in their open doorway as they've got builders in.

A real people person, clearly.

dont know but if a post man starts work at 5 am ,thats probably 3 hours unsociable hours payment , postman starts at 8 am no extra money .

your not suggesting royal mail are penny pinching to the detriment of the customer are you?

We have a post box at the nearest post office, so we get the mail when we decide to go and empty it, which is not very often! No such thing as on street postal deliveries in this part of the world.

What % of your post will need a same day reply by post? 0.01% I don't really mind when the post comes as I'm out the house from 7 till 6. I suspect many are the same.
