I've kept a good eye on this one and it definitely appeals.
Is it really 110% worth buying? What are the (if any) faults with Skyrim? What could you compare it to?

It has a very long gameplay and a lot of stuff to do it's based on the same sort of engine as fallout but obviously is a totally different game

Can't help with the Max Payne dilemma, although one of my friends completed it pretty quickly (he's got 1000G on at least 30 games...).
I've been playing a fair bit of Sanctum on PC recently, it's a really interesting and fun mix of Tower Defense and First Person Shooter! Pretty cheap on Steam, not sure if it will be on sale over the next few days though.

I can't explain why, but Tower Defence is the most ridiculously addictive game genre ever. Not a good genre, but amazingly addictive.

Naturally obsessed with FIFA and recently bought the new spiderman game, the graphics and scenery is immense plus one of the unlockables is the Venom Suit.

Also I absolutely love Arkham City from start to finish possibly the best game I've bought recently along with the assasins creed series and LA noire

FM and Civ5 on PC
Fifa and Skyrim on 360 plus still not properly played through GTA4 (the Russian one) but loved San Andres and remember all the ones before right back to crappy pc days on home networks with mates. Grew up camped at a mate's who had 4 brothers and a dad who worked in computers. They had 6 terminals linked up for games like diablo and gta's plus a load of random japanese and korean shit. Remember some good games of basketball and ice hockey though where at least 4 people were 'real' players in sports with few on pitch, court, rink

just no time these days

I have a lot of consoles, I'm mostly looking forward to Black Ops II (if it's not as shit as the first one), fifa, GTA5.

I have to say though, as much as I enjoy GTA, it has worse binfests in online mode than NSC. I shit you not.

I realised recently that as I've got older I've lost interest in FPS games and find third-person games more fun.

Assassin's Creed 3, GTAV, The Last of Us, Watchdogs... I'll be getting all of these when they come out but the likes of CoDBOps2 I don't care about.

That said, I've been playing Resistance 3 lately courtesy of Lovefilm and it is decent enough

Completely agreed. I constantly get new TD games on my iPhone. Love em. Don't know why.

Bloons TD is still my favourite after years, it's just perfect.

It is worth buying. I held off for ages thinking it might come down in price on Steam but it never did so I gave in :) There are a few bugs, as with any game that big but nothing gamebreaking (although I did have to resort to using a console code yesterday too get my follower back :( )

I see LA Noire is £4.99 on Steam atm also - bit tempted but it's right at the end of th epay month.

It's worth playing, although it's best not to play for long periods of time - it can get quite repetitive as you go further into the game. Very stylishly made though.
