Horsham YMCA currently 3-0 down at home to rock bottom AFC Varndeanians. Not there so no idea what's going on. An embarrassing home defeat awaits though. :ffsparr:

Littlehampton
Incredbile game at The Sportsfield in front of another 300 crowd. Littlehampton had fought back from a 3-1 half time deficit to level it up and it looked like there would only be one winner. But, despite being under the cosh for most of the second half, The Tigers exposed some familiar defensive frailties to nick an injury time set peice winner to silence the home crowd. Littlehampton's patchy form and injury crisis could make for a closer than anticipated end to the season in the SCFL Prem....

The Avenue then Maloncho
Peacehaven 6 East Preston 0

I tipped 4 or 5 so no surprises, esp after we took a second minute lead. Generally one way traffic although EP did offer a bit more in the second half.

Crowd about 220 - not a bad bit of singing and plenty of beers pitchside considering the cold wind

Wouldn't call it a major surprise, Littlehampton have been riding their luck for a few games now. Well beaten in the Vase (although probably reinstated), won a narrow one at Broadbridge Heath and then scraped a draw against Pagham midweek. Saltdean are a good side, they had a debutant keeper who made an unbelievable save at the death to prevent it ending 4-4. I understand that Joe was told he'd be out for 4-6 weeks, depending on how the physio goes, so we won't be seeing him for a while yet. Should have enough to beat Loxwood on Tuesday, but then another tough looking one at home to Peacehaven on Saturday. Really thin on the ground at the moment, could do without playing twice a week that's for sure.

They could also get into a spot of bother with the FA, there's a group of 'yoof' who have attached themselves to the club. They generate a great atmosphere but are doing things and singing songs which you certainly wouldn't get away with at The Amex, shall we say. The referee had to intervene and ask the Littlehampton manager to have a word with them at one point, I expect it will go into his report.

Rape of Hastings, Sussex
Just back from Ashford v Hastings, where the visitors won 2-1 to go 6 points clear at the top. At least half the 1,134 crowd were from Hastings. Nice rendition of Sussex by the sea in the first half too.

Corinthian Casuals 1 Worthing 1.
Fourth game against Casuals this season and we have struggled every time.
Casuals 1 up at half time, Mo Diallo with the goal, Worthing failed to get a shot on target in the first half and were fortunate the deficit was only 1 as Casuals had a great chance just before the break.
Improved 2nd half display, Golding and Armstrong came on and Golding levelled it within 2 minutes of the restart.
Casuals hit the bar and had a couple of goalmouth scrambles whilst Golding, Pearce and Colbran forced decent saves from Bracken.
Overall, a scrappy game and a draw the right result.

Senior Cup draw announced this evening.

Three Bridges v Worthing and Horsham v Brighton.

Ties due to be played on February 15th and March 1st at Culver Road.

Worthing v Brighton at the Amex probably then, might struggle to pick a side to sit in 😂

Lewes have issued a statement regarding Ollie Tanner.
Personal terms couldn't be agreed with the player and a Premier League club after Lewes accepted an offer so Tanner will remain with Lewes.
He missed today's defeat at Hornchurch owing to an injury.

Went on a first visit to the LNER Azuma Stadium, to watch York City take on top of the league Gateshead. An odd stadium right on the edge of town, with a huge bowling alley above one stand. Big Clayton Donaldson came on to score the scruffiest equaliser I have ever seen, a true sight to behold, literally carried it in. £6 for a pint of Strongbow Dark Fruits as well, even bad for London. There was a protest against the owner, who seems to be de-investing in the team a bit, a strong league though the National League North.
