Indeed, although not at the goalkeeper, whom was actually quite funny. No excuse though and those morons doing that will tarnish the club. Can't even blame the yoof for that as it was an adult whom did the deed. Fireworks, just leave them to November! They were also adults whom should know better.

Heard the SCFL are meeting and it may even be behind closed doors, which isn't fair on those whom go for the proper reasons.

Didn’t see any issue with the majority of the flares, most were just being held a loft and looked pretty decent, nothing wrong with that IMO. What was incredibly just f*cking stupid was the idiot letting fireworks off out of his hand, which inevitably after the first couple went off fine, resulted in one being dropped and exploding in front of everyone.

Just seen the game is off until further notice, third time lucky.
Looking at the Hassocks Twitter feed from last night they mentioned a smoke bomb being thrown at their goalkeeper, maybe it’s the photo in that post.
I’ve seen Ringmer FC mentioned and they have tweeted that they are happy to help. I went there recently and it’s a decent ground, brand new with a 3G pitch.

Best not to throw a flare onto a 3G pitch or you will burn a hole into it .

The issue will be that it's the club that gets whacked with any fines from the league for any flares that go off, and at the level Littlehampton play at every penny taken away by the actions of the fans will hurt them. It's what younger elements of the various fanatics groups that stand behind the goal at Worthing eventually learned, and now flares on home game matchdays aren't being let off inside Woodside. When we do a march from the pub to the ground on big game days, there might be the odd flare or two let off, but there's a level of respect from the fanbase to not let them off in the ground anymore so it doesn't impact the club's finances. The away games at Bognor on Boxing Day and when we got promoted at Bowers have been the only times I can recall flares going off in a ground in our end at our games this season.

If it continues to happen at every game when they get to Isthmian level - and it does seem to be every game with Littlehampton from what I've seen - then it's something the league will keep a close eye on and ramp up sanctions if they don't or won't stop if the club ask them to. Probably in the club's best interest to chat to these ultras groups and nip it in the bud between now and next season.

A decent game at sunny Culver Road yesterday.
Lancing beating Newhaven 2.1 to maintain their step 4 status.
All the goals in the 2nd half, Newhaven going ahead just after half time but 2 goals from Mo Jammeh were enough for Lancing.

In other news, AFC Southwick have announced they are folding. With no written agreement in place regarding Old Barn Way and the costs of ground sharing at Whitehawk the club can no longer carry on. A real shame.

What is latest on Old Barn Way ? Surely people would donate to keep them going if they could see a way back

What a sorry state of affairs and a real kick in the teeth for all involved in keeping Southwick going for the last 2 seasons.
I suppose their ground sharing options are very limited. Clubs with grass pitches will be reluctant as it will make pitch maintenance tricky with the extra games and venues such as Culver Road and Steyning already have sides sharing plus a multitude of youth and ladies sides using the pitches.
Locally only Shoreham, Worthing United and Mile Oak spring to mind as possible options but I'm sure all options have been exhausted by now.
