Resident Records album of the year.
Playing in January at Electrowerkz, Islington (cracking venue, btw) the amazing 80s hair metal FM revivalists, LeBrock. Mrs T bought me a ticket today 
She ****ing hates them, so it won't be a rerun of the Boy Harsher debacle (that she not only missed, but Hante was the unannounce support - she loves Hante - tears).

They were good, but I'm on a short run of bands at present and, they followed on from Richard Dawson (at Komedia), and they didn't even come close to him. Mind you, not much comes close to that performance.
I've got BC Camplight tomorrow, but have bought the ticket because of the support, Brighton's very own and wonderful Porridge Radio.

I thought they were mesmerizing - better live than the record, which has been one of my most played recently. Driving rythyms, building up layer on layer, and a real intensity and depth. They also look too young to shave - I am looking forward to seeing what they can become.
I went with [MENTION=225]Hamilton[/MENTION], who was also at Richard Dawson, and waxed lyrical about his performance.
My short run of gigs included Primal Scream last Thursday, who did exactly what it says on the tin, as usual. I always find them enormously enjoyable.
I am going to see Ezra Collective on Wednesday. So looking forward to that.

Erland Cooper with AVA in Brighton last Friday, absolutely fantastic.
Both acts are wonderful, if that sort of music is 'your bag'.

UK SUBS and Peter and the Test Tube Babies, last night at The CON Club.
Great line up and great venue, brilliant night. SUBS did all of 'Another Kind of Blues' then tracks from Brand New Age and Party in Paris. Fantastic Set.
It was not until the end of Warhead I saw that 'Jordan' was on stage blasting it out with Charlie, great touch. Someone said she is now a Vet in Seaford and specialises in Burmese cats.
I imagine Siouxsie Sioux may have a few Burmese cats in her south of France home.

On a run of gigs myself and like Pogue thought they stood out. I expected very little engagement from the band but the lead singer really surprised me.

You probably know this already so apologies. Jordan has been a Seaford resident for many years (possibly born there, not sure). She’d commute to London from Seaford to work in Westwood/McClaren’s Sex shop. She’s been a receptionist/nurse at a Seaford vets for about 20 years.
Charlie Harper also now lives in Seaford.

Yes was aware Charlie lived there.
I Always assumed Jordan was part of the Bromley Contingent, and they were all from that way. Isn’t that where Siouxsie lived as a teenager (Bromley).

Went to see Ghost at Wembley Arena on Friday evening. Support acts were dire but the main event was good. You have to think of it more as a show than a normal rock gig.
Lots of people in the audience dressed up in various religious outfits (including some very interesting nuns). Merchandise for sale included namesless ghoul masks and cuddly cardinal dolls.
Lead singer had at least four costume changes and at one point cycled across the stage on an old bicycle - waved to everyone and then cycled off again! Loads of pyro on display and possibly the first time I have seen gold glitter cannons used at a rock gig.
The band themselves were very tight - only minor complaint is the sound wasn't as sharp as it could have been but that is the downside of a gig at Wembley Arena.
A very entertaining evening overall.

Part of that early punk in-crowd (including Siouxsie, Steve Severin and Billy Idol) but travelled up from Sussex in those early days.

Wednesday nights were made for dancing, and Ezra Collective got me moving tonight. What a band, and what an atmosphere at The Concorde. Wonderful stuff.
I'm sure Richard Dawson is brilliant, but Richard Hawley was even better
W H Lung were fabulous and (old saying) much better than they sound in the studio. They need a new producer.
