Yeh. It’s such a lovely song which for me was spoilt.
As for Great Escape I see Westside Cowboy are playing several times. Mandrake Handshake, Bug Club, Preoccupations, English Teacher, Hotwax, Welly, The Pill, Dograce are amongst the better known bands I’ll head towards. But it’s all about the unexpected and will be hoping to discover some gems.
Still trying to whittle my list down - lots of clashes so far...

Went down to Rockaway park in Somerset this weekend, saw Bad Breeding, Interrobang and The Mob, fantastic gig and a fantastic place, you could call it a punk commune but it’s much more than that, definitely will visit again.

Flights and Accommodation booked for Maiden in Vienna, finally got round to it.
Just over 3 weeks until I fly out to Prague for the show there with a mate. Got our hotel locked down last month, am flying to Berlin and getting the coach down as that was much cheaper than flying directly to Prague.

Starting to get the excitement for the trip and what we might get song wise in the set. Second time seeing Maiden in Prague so looking forward to the city being taken over by Maiden fans the day before the gig. Also managing to squeeze a Czech 3rd division game in on the morning of the show as well.

Superb! I'll be Vienna the day before and looking to hit up one of the metal bars which will no doubt be rammed with Maiden fans also. sadly no football on offer First Vienna's season will be long over and I must get there for a game at some point.

I saw Bad Breeding support Uniform a last November. Good fun.

Viagra Boys were superb, real ferocious energy in one of my favourite venues, first time back since the reopening.

I think I may pick up a spare from a friend, as I can only do Thursday and Saturday, any recommendations yourself?
Of bands I've seen before, Welly and Joe and the Sh*t Boys are both fantastic fun and not to be missed. Man/Woman/Chainsaw, the New Eves, Pale Blue Eyes, Coach Party, Holiday Ghosts, Scrounge and Traams are all good. I was going to say Moonlandingz as well (featuring Lias from Fat White Family), but they are playing on Fri. Also enjoyed TTSSFU last year (shoegazey). But I'll mostly be trying to see stuff I haven't seen before - Tramhaus, Adult DVD, Jock, Makeshift Art Bar, Family Battenberg, Ideal Living, Water Machine all seem promising - plus about a dozen others!

I’ve put in for Pete(r) Doherty tickets on the Wednesday but there seems to be a lot of interesting stuff going on elsewhere. Not to mention they aren’t revealing who actually got tickets until next week for some ridiculous reason.

I like Warmdusher who are playing before Pete Doherty so have applied for a ticket. Probs leave after they’ve played though.

Yeah I'd like to see them but can't say I'm overly bothered as I don't really get on with the beach venues, don't know why.

I find the ticketing for these shows and the other spotlights intensely annoying.

Yes, I have avoided these as I always do, despite the fact that I’d like to have seen Warmduscher and Pete Doherty.

Looks like Patterns is going to be rammed. Hoping to be there too.
