My choice would be David Platt. Known to want to make the step up to management again (admittedly after making a total horlicks of it last time), but has since worked his nuts off at city. Great contacts, and understands the game. Why not??

The likelyhood of Brighton signing a Champions League winning manager, though, is pretty damn remote.

Yep - there will be some big names sniffing around this job. Sadly most will also see it as a stepping stone to something bigger.

The frustration of supporting a middle sized football club I guess.
