The Football League Show

Not only are we on Sky this weekend, but by the looks of it, we are also taking centre stage on the BBC that night too.

Manish Bhasin presents as Leagues One and Two take centre stage. It's international week so there are no Championship fixtures in the Football League.

Brighton and Hove Albion take on Bournemouth in a south-coast encounter. Gus Poyet has slowly rebuilt Albion and their early season form has been very promising, while the Cherries have taken to life in League One as if they've never been away.

Meanwhile, further along the coast, Plymouth Argyle and Charlton Athletic, two teams with real promotion potential, meet at Home Park.

It's a top of the table game and, I presume, they'll have the Sky footage for highlights rather than the usual one camera view. So it makes sense to be the top game, assuming it's not a dire 0-0 and some other game is 5-5.

A game live on tv during the day and then the main highlights in the evening? It'll feel like supporting a premiership team!

And you've got "Negative Nancy" written all over you.

Experience triumphing over optimism. I'm very far from a negative nelly normally (3-0 prediction at Tranmere for example). Just struggling with this success malarky. Can't get used to it.

In the oft quoted words of John Cleese in Clockwise "It's not the despair. I can stand the despair. It's the hope!"

Yaaay.

Let's all buy replica shirts, and watch it in a pub 200 miles away, for the truly authentic Premiership experience
