I recently picked up Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica - I recall it was once NME top album of all time - it is rubbish, & on CD I could only play it once. Same for Made in Japan - Deep Purple - the tracks are just far too long.

Though they played few Move tunes (I was a fan of them, which is much of the reason for going) they were pretty good. I'd only heard '10538 Overture' otherwise.
Any fan of ELO should definitely look into The Idle Race first 2 albums, which are formative indications of what ELO were to become. The 3rd I.R. lp was made without Jeff Lynne, is still excellent, but not like the previous albums.
