What a load of crap! Come on ginger you seriously need to grow a pair! She knew exactly what she was getting into by marrying into the British Royal family. For starters can we have the cash back you spent on your main gaff? And mummy played the press game as and when it suited. And I think you'll find that it was a drunk driver who killed her.

Nice.

It is hard to see how you guys are going to be able to carry on after this devastating news.

It certainly puts the whole Brexit thing into perspective.

Of course it will, look at her family, and she’s an African.

Edited for you and, with that, the explanation for the events and reactions.

Ironic that this news brings together both socialist anti-royals and conservative snob-gammon in a seething frenzy of triumphal vituperation.

I wish the couple well. It may not work out but who among us haven't been pierced by the capricious arrows of cupid? ???

An extremely eloquent and largely laudable ejaculation.

Long live Liz.

Er no.

It was very much in her latter years that she did. When she was first married that culture between "celebrities" and the press didn't exist.

Post split with Charles she was constantly in contact with journalists and if you've forgotten organised an interview with Panorama. Completely unprecedented at the time.

It was her attempt (obviously) to her story across in the face of the Royal Family ("a Royal Insider said") PR machine.

Arguably they can't win, but the younger Royals (started by Diana) are modern day celebrities with paid media advisors.

It all started to go wrong for the young royals with that horrendous appearance on It’s a Knockout

I have no real axe to grind with these two. Harry seems alright, and his doris is an absolute SAWT. They've got one shot at happiness in this life together, and if they'd rather spend their lives away from a disfunctional bunch of divorcees, cheaters, morons, liars, horses, perverts and senile elderly racists who roll Range Rovers, then I can't overly blame them for that.

Good luck to em.

Harry’s gone from hero to zero since meeting her that cannot be named. Enough now though, he should forthwith be banished from our kingdom and serve out his remaining carbon footprint in our former American colonies.

It's not very environmentally friendly frequently jetting between the UK and North America.

I liked them but - in the words of Alan Partridge - things appear to have turned rrrrather sour.

Now he’s done it! Didn’t tell Queenie or anyone else their intention! You young man and lady have just lost the British publics support - no one dis’s her majesty! :wrong:

Maybe you’d like to reimburse the costs of your wedding Harry now you’re ‘financially independent’? ???

I didn’t realise there were so many posters on here who actually know the innermost tensions within theRoyal family.
Or are they just repeating the tabloid press’s ill informed bunkum?
How much impact will this really have on the lives of us forelock tugging subjects? 0-1 % is my guess.

The question about whether they still have security protection and if so, who pays for it as they jetset, is an interesting one. This announcement has shambles written all over it, as it’s not as simple as a young guy just “leaving home” imo.

Not letting the family know first, as is what appears to have happened, is pretty low too imo.
