Wasn't aware it was going to a panel. I assumed they'd done a deal along the lines of put your house in order and we'll accept your accounts and give you a smaller fine which explained the number of players released and salary cap for new signings.

If it goes to court and we win, it will be a huge headache for the Football League. If we lose, I can see the lawyers getting rich and it rumbling on and on.

It's a mess caused by pisspoor governance imho.

This can't be said enough. It's simple mathematics. A game finishes in a draw = 2 points. A game finishes in a win/loss = 3 points. Any game finishing others -- in general -- our starting-point should be: let's hope it's a draw.
