Just watched a TV forecast. BBC are pretty good at making their graphic representation of snow look like some kind of nuclear fall out accompanied with hurricane force winds.

Looking at Met Office radar this lot could stall right over south Sussex for a long time

My wife is a nurse and travelling to the royal Sussex for a night shift along the sea front road any news how bad it is ?

Where from? It was really bad around Roedean, Ovingdean and Saltdean at 4ish so I'd imagine its an absolute nightmare now.

Not a lot of traffic moving westwards out of Hove.

Very glad to have got back home.

Chaos everywhere I could see, jammed up and traveled at a snails pace from Rustington this evening. There really isn't much snow falling but ALL roads seem un-gritted and as such even the inch that has settled is causing chaos. BBC Radio Sussex went from saying there were " Major Problems" to " Outright Disaster " in the course of 3 travel updates. It seems that there is virtually no movement up and down the A23/A24 and the A259 coast road is barely moving. Chalky road at a standstill up to Mile Oak too.

Expect some tough questions for West and East Sussex county councils in the morning..

I stand corrected then mate, had to get some paperwork over to Seaford this evening - left at 5.30 and made it all the way to McDonald's roundabout at 6.05 and gave up, had to abandon my car at the bottom of church hill!

Have you heard back about that interview yet?
