Adrie may need it pointed out to him, I confident he might find the half way line, but am not convinced that he'll be able to calculate where the south is without being able to see the sea.

I think there's grassy banks all round the pitch so you should be able to get a decent view.

Its quite steep for camera use but as long as you set the tripod up right it will be fine.

Les, your in similar career aspirations, the camera I have has a MIC at the front, but this, as expected gets blared out by a breeze of wind. Could covering it with a cloth or clothing, like a sock prevent it from getting that awful interference noise from the wind?

If you check your instruction manuel their should be just a simple button you press. Might be different for different cameras though.
