Press release for the Argus sent today.

The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund are holding their annual charity match:

The Robert Eaton Memorial Trophy Game 6

Brighton & Hove Albion supporters V Crystal Palace supporters

Friday 27th April 7.45 pm kick off

Lewes Football Club – The Dripping Pan

Raffle, Auction, Celebrities

£ 5 on the gate, under 16’s free

I attach the details of our fund again. This is the main fund raising event for the year and Ricky Marlowe will be traveling down from Edinburgh again to play in Robert Eaton’s memory again. Ricky Marlowe played for BHAFC in the mid 1970’s and was Robert Eaton’s favourite player. Paul Rogers, ex BHAFC captain is also in the squad for the BHAFC supporters team.

We are also expecting Dick Knight, BHAFC chairman to attend and Ian Chapman, ex BHAFC captain is judging the man of the match.

There will be a bar and a raffle and an auction.

BHAFC supporters lead CPFC supporters 3-2 and the CPFC supporters want to win the trophy back.

This event shows the wonderful spirit between the 2 clubs who normally are the fiercest of rivals to play in Robert Eaton’s memory and provide kit and equipment to youth football clubs who would struggle otherwise to find the funds.

I hope you can give a piece in the Argus this week and alert people from the area as to this event.

Please call me if you want any further details.

Gareth Glover
Chairman – The Robert Eaton Memorial Fund

Well done Brett, I think it is done to a collective effort if we want people to turn up, its the players job as well to put the word about and get a few friends along, if everyone followed Brett's example we would be laughing.

Guys,

I've just posted this on the NSC kick about thread;

I know how you feel Richie but with less than 11 days until the game we (the REMF team) all need to make that extra effort to make as many training sessions as possible.

The palace will be so up for winning it this year we can't let everybody down because so far we as a unit haven't shown anywhere near the level of preformance required.

Saturdays game against NSC was a joke, we make them look much, much better then they were.

If we don't get a grip on this now we may as well just hand over the trophy."

This is a team game and personally I really look forward to the REMF match each year, theres alot of hard work that goes into putting this together so the least we as players can do is attend the trainging sessions and give 110%.

I agree completely. Just was a bit MIFFED after driving from Hastings that afternoon at Preston Park and not everyone turning up.

If we arrange something I will be there, would just be nice if everyone wanting to play could pencil in Friday as well.

Are there any players yet to have SPONSORSHIP?

If so, PM me.

I am still hassling fatboy for a spot in the squad Hiney. If he relents, I will have a last minute dash to get sponsorship. You will be top of the list!
