Transfermarkt have Sima listed as missing due to yellow card suspension but he wasn’t booked in his last game so that would be rather odd. He was subbed off after 44 mins with an injury so that seems the more likely reason he’s missing today.
He’s been deemed fit to play for Senegal during the international break though.

He’s been selected for the squad, under FIFA rules countries can insist a player attends a call up for assessment by their own medical staff which might be the case here and why he hasn’t yet pulled out.

A yellow card suspension for today seems extremely unlikely when all records point to him having been booked just twice all season (with his second one coming at the start of Feb). Would be some very odd yellow card rules in the French League if that was the case.

Their manager also appears to confirm he’s out injured in the press conference but my French is very rusty.

I see, fair enough!

All Day Sunday loanee action 16/03/2025.
It's been a long day - now for the last leg!

7:00 Premier League:
Leicester City (Facu Buonanotte - RVN permitting! - stubborn as anything RVN leaves him on the BENCH again) versus Manchester United.

Osman came on for the second half as Feyenoord smashed Twente - and at 90+3, Barco hasn't been booked yet!

Andrew Moran called up for the Ireland squad, along with Evan Ferguson.
(as noted elsewhere, Enciso (Paraguay) and Yalcouye (Ivory Coast) also called up)

Sima is fit and training with Senegal after all per his Instagram.

Whilst everyone else was concentrating on Tommy Tuchel's England, our loanees were in action too - Evan Ferguson got a few minutes for Norn Iron, and Beadle (from the start) and Hinshelwood (subbed on in the second half) were involved in the U21s 5-3 defeat to France. Highlights here - not Beadle's finest hour, two of them he should have done better with, but the defence in front of him was pretty ragged.......

Amid all the excitement of the international break, there's still some potential loanee action today.
(Updates to come as teams announced)

In League 1: Crawley Town (Kamari Doyle STARTS) entertain Inigo Calderon's Brizzle Rovers, while in a potential Albion derby Northampton Town (for whom Samy Chouchane is still on loan but not in the squad today) take on Blackpool (Odel |Offiah STARTS).
In League 2: Grimsby Town (Luca Barrington STARTS) take on Newport County.
In the National League: Louis Flower unlikely to have recovered to play for Gateshead against Tamworth - we'll see. No, not in squad.
In the Scottish Championship
: Queen's Park (Ben Jackson BENCH) travel to play Greenock Morton.

He hasn’t played for them since mid January

Shannon Ruth seems to imply he’s not in Northampton plans in an interview and is back here to keep his game sharpness up but could return to Northampton if they need him.

I would imagine he’s unavailable to play this weekend no matter what because of his head injury in mid week.

I take it Flowers is not in the squad for Gateshead??

Yes, that's what I heard. Still technically on loan in case they need him. Obviously spending some, if not all, of his time back 'at home' though, he's been turning out for our U21s.

Now that's one I had missed/forgotten.

Thanks for that. How are they able to sign another loanee (the lad from Hull)? Doesn't the window apply to the National League?

In better news, Kamari Doyle has scored for Crawley.
Not the same - can transfer any time (from Vanarama down) but I think it usually closes around the end of March to avoid clubs mucking about towards the business end of the season.

Edit - 4th Thursday in March (6.2.1)
