Well I'll be doing a few long-shot e/w's anyway, and having the top 7 offer is the clincher for me. I never bother with a golf bet to win outright. This is Links golf, ANYONE can come out the field and make a decent tilt at the top places.

also mentions for Rose Karllson and Cink.

So many choices wihtout Tiger in the field.
Makes betting on golf worthwhile

Simster talked me out of Westwood in the end. So I've gone 1/4 odds e/w top 7 on:

Cabrera 55/1
Jimenez 30/1
Choi 95/1
Romero 40/1
Cink 33/1
Goosen 33/1

Its going to be very windy over the next few days so the players are going to have to grind it out. I think Jim Furyk will be ideally suited but would have preferred to see him with an early tee time Tomorrow. Geoff Ogilvy has the ideal tee time of 7.47 but his price has collapsed due to him being tipped in the Racing Post as were Cink, Jimenez, Leonard and Garcia.

Out of the six players I picked earlier on the thread I have just gone extra on Andres Romero, I can't feel it the waters (and I don't mean his ball off the tee)...

Absolutely brutal out there at the moment. With the rain forecast to stop in the next two hours, the afternoon starters are going to be favoured, Anyone scoring +5 or better has done well this morning.

Stop the open NOW please
I have Choi and Goosen in the top 7, that would bring home £95 :clap2:

what happens next ?

Westwood goes and WINS, probably.
Although he's +5 at the moment.

I watched the preview last night and they interviewed Westwood. After just missing out at the US PGA this year by one stroke, Westwood said "of course it was disappointing to come so close and lose out in the end, but I don't beat myself up over it. At the end of the day, its only a game."

And there, in one sentence, I think Westwood showed the difference between a Major winner and an also-ran. Can you imagine Tiger ever coming out with something like that ?

I've always wondered if it's the same twat that follow Tiger around shouting that, or if loads of people do it. I find it most annoying. Bah.

No, I believe it it is the mating call of the species known as the Common North American Golf Fan, easily recognisable by their pink skin, multi-coloured, XXXXL polo shirt, shorts the size of a wedding marquee, and golf umbrella, wearing a baseball cap with something like Cypress Point Country Club on it.
