Nah, that was Kim Milton Neilson who reffed the Bayern/Arsenal game.

I have to say it was a bad decsion to send Drogba off, but Chelseas reaction smacks of sour grapes. I didn't watch the match but I gather Cheslsea weren't at any point really in the game and were fortunate to be 1-0 up. They still had to defend with or without Drogba and it was only the keeper that kept the scoreline respectable. The tunnel "incedent" (which sounds as though it has been blown way out of proportion) and the sending off are convenient ways of letting themselevs off the hook for putting in anothere below par performance.

You also had the STUNNING locks of Maxi "Power" Lopez as well. Last night was a fantastic display of top quality European hair.

How he thought Drogba's tackle early in the first half was worthy of a booking I'll never know, it was the most inocuous challenge that recieved a booking I've seen for a long, long time. Did he get a second yellow for the challenge on the keeper or a straight red?

I hope Chelsea do Barcelona in the second leg, I never have liked Frank Rijkaad, the smarmy greasy haired little bitch.

It was a second yellow. Wasn't even a foul though for christs sake - it was blatently obvious he went in for the ball and got it. Simlar to Virgo's second yellow the other day - seems like you can't even challenge for the f***ing thing now without getting your marching orders.

I like Rijkaard. I nearly pissed meself laughing when him and Rudi Voeller were both sent off in Italia 90, and as they were walking off, Rijkaard hocked up an enormous loogie and launched it into Voellers ear from point blank range.

You've just got to admire that. :lolol:

Ray Wilkins was on the sky studio team last night and said that he should have got a yellow card as he might have hurt the goalkeeper with the challenge.

I forgot that football had suddenly become kiss chase in the playgound.

And Vialli said that it was the difference between english football and european football that english football had to have blood split during a game.

What a bunch of :tosser: 's

Also True. It was a glorious moment. And knowing the cameras would show everything as well.

The thing that I find strange about the Ref's decision was the fact that he was miles away from Drogba at the time of the incident. At the very best, all he could have seen was Drogba's back.

From watching it, you can see the Drogba lowered his foot and connected with the ball, then his momentum took him in to the goalkeeper.

For me, it was a fair 50-50 challenge that did not even deserve a booking.

Given what the ref saw, I feel he simply reacted to the goalkeeper and the crowds reaction.

Don't get me wrong, I don't actually care if Chelski get knocked out, but this is another case of a Ref making a bad decision, and I can't help feeling that if he'd actually played the game before becoming a ref, he might have seen it differently.

I loved big Jack Charlton's comment on that incident "If he'd of spat on me I'd have chinned him"

There was I thinking that there was "nothing more disgusting" that a footballer can do than spitting at someone: paedophilia, career-ending tackles etc.

Terrible decision by Frisk, I reckon the game would have ended up 1-1.

Something has to be done. Maybe some consultation with his assistance might have helped?
