seems to me a sheff wed fan was launched into an area occupied legitimately by Amex Stewards, any kicking is justified.

They were defending their territory,The Amex stewards did not enter into the sheff wed area dishing out indiscriminate beatings or destroying their seats to prevent further incursions,

Actions have consequences

Having watched the clip - what an absolute storm in a tea cup.

Quite. Had the stewards been doing their job properly they would have ushered the chap back into the away end (where he seemed to be heading) and job done, with the minimum of fuss.

Its unacceptable, yes, he needed dealing with - but not like that. More stewards who clearly thought they were police officers.
No that police officers should be doing that either.

None of those videos show enough detail as to what force has been used to restrain and subdue. Speaking as someone with training to restrains children/young adults (and I'm including very big, strong and angry adults in that), it's hard but very workable to ensure that everyone is safe, particularly if there are five of you.

No need to use any sort of measure that could be seen as aggressive or violent.

A new low in stewarding tonight.

A four eyed jobsworth steward told an old age pensioner to SIT down at the start of the second half.
We were in the last row of the half empty east stand with a concrete wall behind us.
What was the old fella going to do--cause a riot.
