Fair enough. More than enough video footage available to ascertain what happened and who was acting out of turn

Have you watched the video Bozza posted yet, can you point out on the video the bit where your friends were shocked by the senseless kick in this young/maybe older lad got. Seems to me that the stewards did a good job in controlling the situation.

Just reporting what I was told by a few folks who had - literally - a ringside seat. They were pretty shaken up. Like I say, there was more than enough phone/video evidence for a fair judgement to be reached.

Blimey all those posts going on about the stewards made me think u actually saw it happen...geez man

Just watched the video. Seems an over the top response to me.

Bit different to what you said earlier

Not really, just different 'phases'.

The fans got agitated by the wednesday player who starts to get involved (which I picked up watching the video). Then other wednesday players (notably their keeper) try to calm the fans down and pull that first player away (which I noted when I saw it happen, so mentioned it earlier before seeing the video).

Different sport but an example of what can happen when pitch invasions overwhelm stewarding resources

Can/are the club reporting the wednesday player(s)? (It only looked to me like one was trying to interfere while the others were trying to usher that player away and calm the fans)

I strongly suspect we will report them yes, and having just viewed that last video I can appreciate why.

The atmosphere only changed when the Wednesday players got involved. It escalated pretty quickly then, and could have all been quite nasty.

The steward that ran across the pitch was the one who was really over zealous, Think he was already fvcked off cos he'd slipped and fell trying to run the length to get there to join in.

What you cnt see because of the blonde stewards head is he starts to dig his knee into the lads head when the others had already got him on the floor...Semedo saw this and tried to stop the steward...

Other stewards more or less told him to fvck off outta the way.

I agree nobody should go on the pitch and the lad was in the wrong for doing so, but no need for the over the top reaction from that steward.

It looked over the top to me. But I'm a complete pussy when it comes to any sort of violence.

But I do recall something similar at the under 21 England game. Equally seemed way too strong. There is a difference between apprehending someone and roughing them up.

Matter has been handed over to Sussex Police who are now investigating the assualt on the Wednesday fan.

I am more than happy to give evidence against the stewards.
