Terrorists, would you condone torture to save lives ?

Should torture be used to save innocent lives ?

So, it looks like we are having another terrorist campaign. As two suspects have been captured in the Glasgow Airport attack it would be fairly safe to assume they are part of the conspiracy. With their rights under British law they have the right to remain silent and yet they most probably know a lot of what's going on. In a nutshell would you allow torture to extract information from them ? It could save a lot of innocent lives.

Most definately yes. Once you've ploughed a flaming car into a busy airport terminal which could have killed tens of people if they had got the timing right, then I would definately allow tortue to get whatever out of them.

No real human being would do such a thing (unless these people are mentally unstable), and I feel people like that have no right to "remain silent". Do whatever the hell you want to them, after all that's what the terrorists are doing to INNOCENT people who just want to live their lives peacefully.

If tortue could potentially save lives then I wouldn't think twice before doing it. Just my opinion, but even in this world of "equal rights" no one can honestly say these scum can be treated the same to say someone who has commited a petty offence, for example.

I doubt very much they would be aware of the big picture.

Probably similar to drug pushers, they know who they get the drugs off but never know the next level up from there.

I would not condone physical violence, such as beatings, but I think psychological questioning, long periods of questioning without a break and other such methods are appropriate as is detention without trial if they refuse to tell the authorities what was being planned and who their co-operatives are. I would not condone a Guantanamo Bay type situation, where people are kept for months on end with nothing happening, as that is not the action of a civilised nation, but it does annoy me that these militant types are the first to create about their "human rights" as soon as they are nicked, while they seek to destroy the very system that gives them these rights.

Why do you ask ? It's not supposed to be. Personally I have no sympathy at all for somebody who comes to my country with the express wish to cause death, mutilation and disruption. They don't give a damn about who gets hurt (I mean they're prepared to die anyway) so why should we give a toss about their 'Civil Liberties' ?

Yes. I’d get the thumb screws out and if they didn’t talk then there’s no other alternative but too execute them. It’s best if we execute them than waste millions of tax payers money on giving them a better life in prison.

Method of torture? What do you think, I think the electric chair would be the best method. But then that’s wasting good electricity so hanging would be good and should be in Public.

What if they are from this country? Is it a different rule?

Nope, none at all, a terrorist is a terrorist irrespective of where they were born. It's their methods and agenda that are the reason for drastic action.

I think that the use of electricity would arouse the Green Party as thumb screws emit much less carbon.

yep anything should be allowed to get answers, they give up all human rights when they try to kill innocent people. Once answers are given they should hang
