To those saying about playing a reserve team, remember when we played Woking in the cup and Gus played a lot of back up players on the back up of winning 4 in a row without conceding. We only drew 0-0 and then didn't win for the next 5 league games.

I am not saying that will happen but momentum is a funny thing. If you play a lot of reserve players and lose, it shouldn't impact on the first team players who didn't play but it can do.

My team would be:

Kuszczak
Lopez
Greer/Upson
El Abd
Bridge
Bridcutt
Hammond
Orlandi
Vicente
Barnes
LuaLua

To me, that is the perfect balance between resting Upson/Greer, Buckley, Lopez and Ulloa but not playing anyone who won't be in the squad for the play offs (assuming all are fit) as it is not necessary. I would play Bridge and Bridcutt if they are fit as otherwise they won't have played for almost three weeks when the play offs start.

Is what I imagine it'll be, unless we need something for 4th.

That team should still be easily able to beat Wolves.

That gives enough key players a rest, using those who have not played as many games and keeps us out of trouble with the league as a strong team.

I'd switch to a back 3 instead of our usual 4, to put doubts in the minds of our play off opponents of our formation against them.

I don't think there will be wholesale changes but expect Lua Lua, Crofts and El Abd to start.

Play our strongest team except :

Kuszczak - injured v Blackpool, best not risk
Bruno - injured
Bridge - out injured for Leeds
Orlandi - maybe picked up injury at end of Leeds match
Buckley - season of dodgy hamstrings
Bridcutt - missed Leeds due to injury
Ulloa - clattered at end of Leeds match, maybe picked up an injury.
Vicente - enough said.

etc. etc.

Gus has plenty of room to 'play his best available team', without actually playing his best players.

A few changes, but still an embarrassment of brilliance.

The one player I would rest is Hammond, he has been on the top of his game for the last few weeks and covered every blade of grass, give Crofts 90 mins and Deano on the bench.

I can't see Gus taking any risks with Wayne Bridge either.
