Kiss of death but been pretty average from what I've seen of him at sheff utd.

What’s the most amount of minutes you’ve given a player to find their feet at a new club, country and league?

I’m thinking about 90?

He gave the ball away that led to them conceding last week.

Obvs not a bad player, but hardly Vicente.

He’s largely a DM pivot, who covers the ground.

Vicente was a very gifted ACM who we very rarely saw, due to endless injuries ... hence the reason we managed to sign him.

Every decent midfield needs both types of player.

The dropping of Alzate and Bernardo is unfathomable. Both consistently outstanding performers.

GPott certainly rates BDB higher than he does Monty.

If it were possible to play Bernie Inn at right back I reckon he'd have had considerably more game time this season.

As said previously straight after Lamptey and BDB have played together, something I absolutely NEED to see, I will be quietly stepping away from the BDB-Bus.
The joy of his marauding attitude is beginning to wane as end product has been less than forthcoming.

Maupay should start imo. He's got a brilliant record against Sheffield United. Always seems to score there.

Maupay has spent the season crying out for a #10.
So much so in fact he's repeatedly played the position himself, as well as #9.

If he and Argie McJocko can click, Champions League qualification is still a possibility (not a possibility)

The marauding was fine in the first few months of the season, we possibly deserved even more points that we got.

I don’t know why, perhaps opposition coaches sussing us out?, but it’s been very rare since the win at the Emirates.

First 45 versus Villa, last 30 versus Watford, last 20 versus West Ham.

I rate Bernardo ...a specialist defender with pace and he too gets forward. Nothing against Dan Burn at all.

The Radio Sussex team have said for 2 months that we’re crying out for a no.10 to play right behind Muzza or Maupay. Their suggestions .... Trossard, Mooy (or Maupay for Muzza).

A front 4 of:-

? ... Argie ... Trossard

..... Maupay ...

Suits me just fine.
The ? is for whoever wants it, Gross or Ali being the obvious answer although neither can claim it.

Trossard seems adept enough to come across opening up the t'other side for Mooy or March (eventually Jose).

The whole attacking formation looks so better balanced with an actual #10 in it

I hope McJocko cuts the mustard, because there's nobody else in the squad who can, so if he can't it's back to the shops in the summer.

The Jahanbakhsh v Gross conundrum. Your faith in Jahanbakhsh was proved right, he has the makings of a outstanding starter for us. But has he got the nous to provide assists in these vital final matches? Whereas Gross has zero pace and appears to be having stinker of a season when fit, but then he pops up with great crosses or set pieces.

Fizzes low crosses into the box, for that reason I’m in

I never had faith in Ali, I just took a huge issue with the 'not even a footballer' types closer followed by the 'i want him to succeed, but...' types.

If all that is disappearing in favour of taking about him as a footballer then great.
As said I'm far from convinced anyone has ownership of the wide right position, they all offer something.
The selection might be easier if GPott makes his mind up about the right back.

I assume, that like Hughton, the penny dropped that Montoya isn’t a great defender and his lack of recovery pace is costly.

I think of Schelotto as a stand in, being given a chance, until Lamptey gets the role.

But then Potter’s just as likely to make March or Alzate our RB/RWB tomorrow.

All a bit chaotic, 2/3 through the season.

Surely Maupay and Mac have to play? We’ve been very lacklustre up front and in attack midfield for a while now.

I wiil genuinely scream if I see Murray paired with Gross again

Sheff U will be too quick to close down and too strong all over the pitch so it doesn't really matter who we put out imho.

That’s a remarkable comment on 3 years of our team building at this level if we think that about a team who were in League 1 not even 3 years ago.

I’m sceptical I think they are just well organised and well managed but at the same ability level as us

Or an indictment of much of our business in 6 PL transfer windows and £200m spent.
