I remember the old Sunday league. Crowds were always pretty good too. I used to love the Horsham match, complete with customary streaker.

I should have taken mine, I thought wearing jeans a long sleeved shirt and a light jacket would be enough, I took a fleece with me thinking i would put it on later into the match, soon went on though.
I was warmer at the last few matches at the Amex
I did notice a handful of people who were underdressed in the bar in the Sharks stand at the start of the Glamorgan innings more interested in hanging around there to watch the England game on Sky with their drinks than go back up to watch the game. :lolol:

Agreed the prices for T20 games at the County Ground are outrageous.
The price adult tickets at £35 and under 14’s at £13 is just criminal. 2 adults and 2 children for 3hrs of live sport, you’re looking at just short of £100!! The pricing structure for weekend games is totally wrong. The last two Sunday games have been half empty. Surely the club should be looking at family group tickets for these double-header games? Get the families in for discounted tickets (say, £60), give them a whole afternoon at the Cricket. Dads will buy beers and the kids will buy ice creams - more £££ for Sussex with bums on seats in the ground.

So what advertising have Sussex done for these games? I haven’t been into
Brighton for a while, are there posters advertising the games around? Are they on bus stops / train stations? Or do we just expect people to know there’s a game on by osmosis?

Surrey and Middlesex plaster local stations on the tube and NR with adverts for their Blast games.
Good point. Think they rely on cheap social media advertising but as we know most people see these as an irritation and click through as quickly as possible.

The club has announced numerous “ground improvements” that appear to be like the emperor’s new clothes. Anyone notice if the Sixes net was being used?

Agree. He did pretty well in t20 last season iirc, and was seen as a key player by Farbs.

In other news….great win today. Looking good.
He wasn’t good in T20’s last year. Only took 2 wickets, was expensive with the ball and his batting was striking @113. Was struggling to break into the 15 player squad here, let alone starting XI.

But he’s very important for the proper format. I’m pleased he’s keeping warm at his previous county. Only a T20 loan, so I imagine he’ll be back for the summer round of county championship games this month.

County Championship in the summer ? My word.
