Has anyone been watching "Harvest" on BBC2 ? final one tonight at 9 is about the fruit crop this year. fascinating stuff.
this year, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and chillis have been the best ever.

Most fruit seems to have done well....all the apple and pear trees seem loaded

The local cider producer Whiteheads Cider takes apples of all types from the locals and presses them for his various brews. He also has a contract with the local schools to supply apple juice. Well worth checking out his strawberry cider is fantastic.
