"...makes me feel fine
Blowing through the jasmine of my mind."
Good song, that.

Ain't nothing wrong with Duvel. Duvel-Moortgat are one of the few biggish breweries that still place a higher value on product quality than glossy marketing. And I happen know that the author of this book Good Beer Guide Belgium: Amazon.co.uk: Tim Webb: Books holds a similar opinion - because I was out drinking with him in Antwerp last Saturday and this very subject came up.
Of course it's not the 'best beer in the world', but it sure does the job when sat on a sunny terrace.
Hound, I was dissing the Leffe not the Duvel !

Have you ever been to Noel Culviers (sp) beer shop in Belgium ? If so, would you happen to know of any links as I can't find any as I must have spelt it wrong. Went there once a few years back with some mates and only know it wasn't far over the belgium border but can't remember where exactly.
Stand out memory was the crate of Deus we bought between us and the fact that they had specialist glasses galore. I still have my Kwak stirrup glass and stand from the trip![]()

I believe, sadly not from 1st hand knowledge, that the big thing with our Belgium cousins, is that each beer is supposed to have it's own glass, each one different.
I have first hand knowledge and a slighty fuzzy memory and dodgy liver to prove it ! Yes the beers come in their own individual glasses![]()
And isn`t Antwerp big when you are pissed and dont have a clue where you are ? Eh vegster.
