But only in Vegas! that story wouldn't be the same if you were in say Chicago or New York. Obviously I can't condone drug use but I have to agree if I were tempted then doing it with Elvis and getting blown by a hooker called Candy sounds like a top night out! I bet she had proper fake boobs too!

They were but it was quite a good job. She was really sweet too. I could quite happily have been her pimp.

If I was hard and stuff, of course. And had a purple fedora.

And spoke Jive.

went on hols to the canaries, and in the room next door was a girl who i had fancied when i was at school, MANY years ago..

the hotel was on the edge of town, off season, and a last minute booking.

sadly she was married, with kids.

still, quite a looker.

Ever had one?

Mine is as follows:

Several years ago when i was in the Navy and based in Plymouth, I was driving the long journey home one friday evening when i decided to take a different route using the A303 rather that the usual route as I figured it would keep me awake. The one and only time I took this route I decided to pick up a weirdy beardy hitchiker carrying a guitar, god knows why i've never picked up hitchhikers before or since. Where to mate I asked, Cheers mate the A27 if possible. So off we went, me thankful for the conversation to keep me awake and him grateful for a lift to get a few miles further on his journey. Got to the A27 and was looking for somewhere to drop him off and asked anywhere in particular? Well I'm trying to get to Brighton mate, no problem i said I'm heading there myself. Approaching Brighton I enquired where I could drop him off, Hove was his reply, Blimey I said I live in Hove where exactly are you going. It turned out he lived right next door to my grandparents and knew them well, and it was just 2 streets away from where i was living. Queue Harry Hill voiceover - "What are the chances of that happening eh".

Where he promptly broke into their house and stole all their savings, you then became a copper and nicked him 2 years later.

Synchronicity is great aint it!

A few years ago I was doing some air ambulance work for a private firm and on one job I had to go to Boston to retrieve someone. At Logan I was picked up and as we were driving out of the airport into a traffic jam I keep hearing ny name being called out, anyway eventually I stick my head out of the car window to have a look and driving a bus which was alongside us was a lad I had been in a band with when I was at school in Birkenhead, we met up in my hotel bar later and are still in contact now..too wierd that was.

Also when I was a student i worked on the harvests around Europe travelling across rural France, Portugual, Spain and ending up in Israel, as I got off the ferry in Israel having not seen hardly any Brits for 3 months, I hear a scouse accented voice asking if we needed help with our luggage...once again it was a lad from about three streets away from where I lived at the time.

Walking around the middle of no where in Morocco (actually it where loads have kids have blonde hair) other walkers with us, Ms LC starts talking to another walker and discovered he was from England, Sussex, Brighton, BHASVIC and the same year as me?

Left one of those Mandela birthday concerts - lost in the car park - and bumped into my brother. I was living in Wakefield at the time and neither knew that we be at the gig.

Our first childminder also looked after another child in Hackney, her mum went to the same school at the same time as one of my nephews?

I used to regularly meet loads of blokes wearing blue and white shirts every Saturday - Ms LC used to think that was weird.

A colleague of mine in London was sending a package out to a friend of a friend of his (not people I knew), when I noticed the address.

Not just the town I grew up in (Bexhill), or the street - but the actual house.

A 30million-to-one chance by my reckoning.

Good thread this.

I read a book once which dealt with this subject and one of the theories is that our lives are all interconnected although we can't see the connections (Sort of like Islands in the ocean, above water they appear seperate but go deep enough beneath the waves and they are all joined to the sea bed) the assetion is that occaisionally these connections are noticed by us as coincidences or sychronous happenings and we should be happy when we do as it is generally a sign that things are on track in our existences as on some deep level our conciousnesses are communicating with us.

Or it could all be chance.
