Ever had one?

Mine is as follows:

Several years ago when i was in the Navy and based in Plymouth, I was driving the long journey home one friday evening when i decided to take a different route using the A303 rather that the usual route as I figured it would keep me awake. The one and only time I took this route I decided to pick up a weirdy beardy hitchiker carrying a guitar, god knows why i've never picked up hitchhikers before or since. Where to mate I asked, Cheers mate the A27 if possible. So off we went, me thankful for the conversation to keep me awake and him grateful for a lift to get a few miles further on his journey. Got to the A27 and was looking for somewhere to drop him off and asked anywhere in particular? Well I'm trying to get to Brighton mate, no problem i said I'm heading there myself. Approaching Brighton I enquired where I could drop him off, Hove was his reply, Blimey I said I live in Hove where exactly are you going. It turned out he lived right next door to my grandparents and knew them well, and it was just 2 streets away from where i was living. Queue Harry Hill voiceover - "What are the chances of that happening eh".

I asked a 'shop assistant' in New York where I could buy a Yankees shirt.

Sorry, I'm over here on holiday he replied.

So am I , I said.

Anyway, cut to the bone.

He lived two streets away from me here in Brighton. :D

Never seen the guy before in my life!

That's strange! I thought you were going to say that when you got to Hove, you turned to say goodbye as he left the car, but he had vanished. You had picked up a GHOST!!

Bumped into my old best mate from school whilst on a conference in Dublin earlier this year. That was spooky.

My ex-boss (from my previous job in Holborn) son lives 2 doors own from where I used to live in Weltervreden Park in Johannesburg. That was freaky.

Went to Vegas with my ex-wife and the Elvis impersonators mum went to school with my auntie at Durrington High School (which I also went to). That was a little too weird. But I did end up doing several big fat lines of sniff with him and a whore called Candy who gave me a free blowjob. Which was nice.

I was on holiday in a very small village in Croatia about 10 years ago and got talking to the very pleasant woman who had the next room and adjoining balcony in our hotel. She asked where we came from back in the UK and I told her it was a small town in Sussex near Brighton. It turned out that not only did she know Lewes very well indeed - her son was starting at Priory School in that September - but she actually lived in the same road in Kemp Town that I'd once shared a student house in!

Had a bit of a coincidence that floored me a little.

A few weeks ago, I married a young couple: a young lady called Tanya to a certain Mr McConnell. Thus she became Tanya McConnell.

The very next weekend I had another wedding. It suddenly dawned on me why it all seemed so familiar. The bride's name was Tanya McConnell. The two Tanyas didn't know each other.

Given all the possible name combinations, to wed two brides with the same name on consecutive weekends must be almost unheard of (except in Croydon, of course, where everyone is related).

I went on holiday to Cornwall about five years ago, and we (the missus and her then 17 year-old daughter) rented a cottage that came in three parts - for three different families to rent.

On our second day there, we saw our 'neighbours', and it happened to be the daughter's music teacher from Brighton.

I love that last bit! :lolol: Like a scene out of the film Casino!! I'm surprised you could get it up after several fat lines of sniff! Fair play to you.

Doing Gak with a bloke dressed as Elvis is the coolest way to do it! Highly recommended.

But only in Vegas! that story wouldn't be the same if you were in say Chicago or New York. Obviously I can't condone drug use but I have to agree if I were tempted then doing it with Elvis and getting blown by a hooker called Candy sounds like a top night out! I bet she had proper fake boobs too!
