For the first time in a while I sat in the south stand, my word the stewards are utter wankers.

Stood up for about two mins when Brighton where attacking and we are all told to sit down, someone points out all the Leeds fans are standing and was told to shut it or be removed.... :tosser:

I think since the new away stand as gone in the away fans have stood all game.

Much tho part of you knows it's not the right thing to do, maybe time to make a one-off standing-all-game protest in, say, H Block. At the very least, the club may then concede that the police and stewards at the away end serve no useful purpose and can be done away with, offering a saving in matchday costs.

There's only one tosser involved and that's you! Two minutes is one minute fifty seconds too far. Do as you are told and sit down! If you're not happy with that, then f*** off to White Hot Fart Lane and see how they will deal with you!

When we were there last season stood for the full 90mins and was not told once to sit down.

Away fans are always policed differently, its the nature of the sport. Its not like we don't stand for most games away from home. At Southampton for example I thought it was hilarious that I stood for 90 minutes whilst 5 yards away the saints fans were being made to sit down. Its just the way it is...

I guess if you have spent hundreds of pounds on a season ticket you do not want to get thrown out and banned. But if you are away from home, okay you do not want to get thrown out but it is no great loss if you do. Espically if they will need to throw out 1000 or so others as well.

Then bully for you, you selfish bastard. Those are the stewards who need their arses kicked for not doing their job.

I would rather stand at a match by choice, but I recognise that the governing bodies of football have deemed it necessary to make all seating stadia. I would argue with that judgement.

However, I recognise that there are elderly and handicapped people who are unable to stand up to watch a game. All seated policies mean that they are lumped together with the rest of us.

Their capabilities of watching ninety minutes of football rest solely with the majority of spectators they are forced to sit with. If the anarchists have their way the less abled body persons are wasting their money, because they are unable to see a ball kicked.

If everybody sat down nobody would miss a solitary second of the match. Idiots like you spoil it for the less fortunate who have some form of incapacity, and for those just who prefer to sit down.

Ive got to be honest, at away games where people insist on standing, it gets annoying, especially when you have to sit in the seat allocated to you, my wife who is also an avid brighton fan is only 5ft tall and when you get someone who wont sit down, well basically she cant see, it has caused a few heated moments at some games over the years as i end up having to ask them to sit down, in the main most people are respectfull and they do, but every now and again you get some arse who wants to argue the toss:tosser: :tosser: :tosser:

What gets on my tits is the self-important scowling at the home fans by the stewards, like we're criminals of some kind, instead of the presumably valued customers that pay their wages. Ask them why every single away fan is allowed to stand up for the whole game and they smile and go ho-ho-ho-not-my-job and look the other way.

Bollocks!

Valued? You're an anarchist tosser who's looking for trouble because you hate authority.

They unfortunately are the poor ignorant sods that are trying to earn a few extra quid to support their family, life-style or whatever. Then they meet up with the likes of you who feel the need to challenge any rule that is made and they become useful fodder!

the away fans stand up because they cant see the pitch!!

a coventry fan i know told me that they could barely make out the players at the far end in the cup match. the stewards told them that they would ask them to sit down during the game but made it pretty obvious that they would turn a blind eye to it. i think there is a fair understanding of the fact that the view is crap. unless you have the eyesight of superman.

I thinks it more the fact, that like a lot of other people he prefers to stand, and is being denied the oppurtunity to do so.

As I have already said, "I prefer to stand, and I do not agree with the policy of all seated stadia."

However, I am aware that the law of authority says that I must sit. As I am a democrat I abide by the law. I recognise the dangers to peaceful existence of not abiding by the law.

There are those in society who make a habit of actively challenging anything that they do not agree with. They are anarchists and most of them are proud to be called as such.

If they all sat down they would see the bloody pitch. It only takes for one idiot to stand for the rest to follow like sheep, because their view has now been impaired.

What is wrong with trying to change things that you dont agree with. I support campaigns to allow standing back in this country, as I believe it would be better for a lot of people for it to return. Not only for people who prefer to stand, but also for those who prefer to sit.

I find nothing wrong with your sentiment.

It's the way people go about it that is sometimes wrong. There are some amongst us who glorify in the act of breaking laws. I will never subscribe to the policy of, " I will do as I like, whenever I like and f*** those who get in the way!"
