I always bring a poncho for my old man is case of rain, but forgot one today and realised the minute I walked through the turnstiles. I pleaded with the stewards to help me out (ie let me out), but two in particular were VERY rude to me, when I asked if I go out and come back in.

I'm aware that its against the rules, but politeness isn't hard, especially as I'd asked very nicely.

One was a bit more understanding, but I hate being treated like a potential trouble maker. There is absolutely no excuse for it whatsoever.

Thank you for whoever it was from the supporters club who kindly went and got me one, when I explained my f*ck up.

They unfortunately are the poor ignorant sods that are trying to earn a few extra quid to support their family, life-style or whatever. Then they meet up with the likes of you who feel the need to challenge any rule that is made and they become useful fodder!

You couldn't have got it more wrong about Tom Hark.

There's only one tosser involved and that's you! Two minutes is one minute fifty seconds too far. Do as you are told and sit down! If you're not happy with that, then f*** off to White Hot Fart Lane and see how they will deal with you!

I don't suppose you're one of those dayglow jacket wearing, pissed with power, feel important for once in your life, authoritarian, jobsworth, brainless, c u n t s?

:salute:

There are those in society who make a habit of actively challenging anything that they do not agree with. They are anarchists .

So any form of civil disobediance is anarchy rather than a valid form of protest then? So what would you have said to Ghandi and his followers? Would you have been one of the officers who ordered his troops to open fire?
Are the pensioners refusing to pay the council tax increase anarchists or protesters?

Sometimes laws are wrong and need to be challenged directly.

At the end of the day the Stewards are only following orders given to them.

Very poor excuse! The Nazi scum tried to use that one at the Nuremburg trials.

Anarchist tosser? Cool! Haven't felt as good as that since I refused to pay Thatcher's poxy Poll Tax :salute:

All I'm asking is that the same set of rules are applied to both home and away fans. The club and stewards turning a blind eye to all of the away fans standing for all of the match, every match, just breeds resentment among the home fans who are threatened with eviction for the same 'offence'.

Not an unreasonable request surely? ???

Why would a steward want to antagonise away fans for standing up ? All they normally do is make an effort at geting fans to sit down at the beginning of a match and give up after a few minutes when they realise they are not going to succeed. If I was a steward I would take the easy option rather than face getting my head kicked in. I reckon that the stewards responsible for the home fans think they can exert more authority as these fans turn up on a regular basis so they know the threat of being ejected / banned from the ground carries more weight. Albion fans that travel away know the vast majority of us want to stand , those that prefer to sit or have mobility problems should be given seats at the front.

No, now you are talking utter bollocks.
Get off your your soap box for 2 minutes and look at what was being said moron......what was being said was how some stewards make home fans feel like they are trouble makers therefore its the stewards who are in the wrong here......if they cany do the job properly dont bloody do it...and give it a rest about the poor ignorant sods bit, how the fvck do you know why they do it.....going by your rules no one would stand up even if we scored a goal, just sit there clapping hands and waving rattles...........
And just because someone will occasionally stand you call them an anarchist....................you simpleton.

Oh dear! I really stirred up a hornets' nest, didn't I?

I 'm blaming the Albion for winning. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. It's amazing how a few celebratory whiskeys can loosen the tongue.

Pass the paracetamol somebody, please.

The stewards are only doing their job, League rules stipulate that you must sit down for the duration of the match. I agree that some stewards don't go about things right at times, but are also given alot of shit from fans.
