The wolves fans don't seem to rate him as a LB but say he's ok going forward.

Personally, I just can't see this team challenging for promotion this year.

Sunderland and West Ham fans told us Bridge was shite and we were wasting our money. Lets see him play for us before we decide he's the new Mark Farrington.

Woeful at LB according to the Wolves fans on that site...

he was good while they were winning
Hardto find anyone who passes muster with Wolves fans in the last two years but I tend to think the faults were bbehind the scenes and in management since McCarthy left. Ward is a competent player who rightly has a number of international caps
A step up from what we have now and Maksi and Chicksen will have the opportunity to keep developing

We were INCREDIBLY fortunate to get Bridge but anyone expecting that level of replacement was kidding themselves. Nothing to suggest this lad won't be a solid addition to our squad and would rather money went on striker or midfielder than a left back.

We have no money for big money signings, so this is s good deal with the funds we have available

Re: Stephen Ward

So it looks like we will be signing someone with 18 international caps and has played over 200 games at this level or above and we're still not happy?

Have we actually paid a transfer fee yet this season?

Exactly , another Irishman joining the ranks isn't the same as a Spaniard with a flair name.

Very good player, and importantly he's honest and a trier, as others have said though, he's wasted at lb !!

But I doubt whether Oscar would know him from Adam. He's relying on others. I would like to know how these decisions are made.

Scouts are looking at players all the time. Oscar is looking at players himself, and players recommended by the scouts. The videos from the games at the weekend, be it U15's, 16's etc, Development squad and the 1st team, are looked at and discussed with the players and coaches....scrutinized.
The manager is well aware where he needs to strengthen, and the players that he thinks will fit in.
Obviously he can not get all the players he wants, be that they are too expensive or not available.
