Tonights crowd of 4026 was low .
Only £10 to get in no home game last week, away this week.
Why such a poor turn out for a competition we stand a chance of winning ? The ground still costs as much to use, possibly cost the club some much needed revenue tonight, that could have gone towards players funds. If we get through the next couple of rounds watch the interest grow, then all the stay away season ticket holders will be first in the queue for their tickets. Good to see a fair contingent of NSC trying to get some noise going.
Also for McGhees first home game.
Oh Mark McGhee won't you wave to me,Quality.

Surrounded by looney kids :(

Just like normal then as I go with my lad :p :p

Guilty as charged on the non attendance front. I have to look after the dustbins on a Tuesday. From the sound of the thread though, I did the right thing watching it on Ceefax (or whatever the ITV equivalent is).

Breakeven is around 3,000 at Withdean so there should be some small profit margin.

Not the real one
Boston, LDV vans, Tuesday night, good footy on the box, Been playing crap lately, November, raining and its Withdean where we already fork out £400+ to watch a season. I don't think 4000 is bad at all. I think when you see all the other attendances for the LDV, 4000 won't look so bad at all. I'm suprised, I thought it'd be lower.

Good post! No doubt they were watching the prima donnas in Europe. No contest as far as I'm concerned. Let them sit in their armchairs. I prefer the real thing - supporting my team in person!
Chelsea and Man U can get stuffed as far as I'm concerned!

It was a bigger turnout (by about 27 people) than the FGR game, so interest is improving the more we progress!

Most of the crowd tonight though were whinging toddlers who were not even interested in the game.
Sit down shut up, sit down shut up.

Wouldn't that be at £20 a ticket? I think we needed 6,000 to break even tonight. Although prize money for progressing should cover costs.

4,000 is poor. A club of our suposed huge fanbase should easily get 6,000 at £10 a ticket.

Like Yorkie though. I'm not a local anymore. I couldn't go but my youngest brother who rarely goes and having seen the Forest Green game (had my ticket) and another game I can't recall he's really getting into it.

Possibly - what is the prize money for reaching quarter finals ?

I would love to know. Probably not much though. I was probably a little to hopeful to think we would cover costs. I'm sure we've lost quite a bit of cash tonight.

The prize fund for the competition remains unchanged from last season, and payments will be made to clubs at the conclusion of the tournament. The competition winners will receive £50,000, the runners-up £25,000, and the area final losers £20,000 each. The area semi-final losers will pocket £15,000 each, the area quarter-final losers £8,000 each while round two and round one losers will net £4,000 and £2,000 respectively each.

Copied of another web site. Presumably the minimum we will get is £8K if knocked out in quarter finals.

Think you were right about not covering costs Turkey !

It's hard to work it out but say every person tonight = £10. A lot of kids yes so it's not too acurate but anyway.. that + prize money = £48,260.

Now I think we've been told about 50% of normal match ticket sales income goes to renting the ground. 7,000x20/2 = £70,000.

So we've lost at least £20,000 tonight.

Although I'm so tired I wouldn't be suprised if I've made a major error. :lolol:

Per game they have to pay Ecovert a certain agreed cost.

Never sure how all this works but was quoted by a reliable source that 3K fans was break even.

However as the scholar Turkey quite rightly pointed out tickets cost less tonight.
