Spurs were outstanding tonight, they will represent us well in Europe, which will give good experience to english players - I do like to see teams choc full of limeys doing well.

Possibly not bad for Engerlund this summer either.

They will struggle to get out of the group stages due to their European ranking

Who gives a fug how good they were it's THFC ffs! They certainly won't be 'representing' me in Europe, let's just hope they're the whipping boys of the Champions League.

They can beat anyone on their day.

I thought they were magnificent tonight. Will Capello gamble on Ledley King? If he could play like he did tonight then he should go.

From their European Ranking they will be in pot 4, possibly pot 3, and could have Barcelona and Real Madrid in their group (unlikely I know). No disrespect, but really?

Don't you dare talk about the team that's representing England in the biggest cup competition in the world, like that.

AND IF, YOU KNOW, OUR HISTORY, IT'S ENOUGH TO MAKE YA HEART GO WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I hope they go out in the qualifiers against some Hungarian team. A club that seems intent on selling their players then buying them back for more money. Splashing the cash they do they should be challenging for the title but have only just secured Champo league football for the first time ever! Shameful really...

 Something starting in June that may be a little bigger than the Champions League

Oh yeah, I forget Spurs could qualify for that.

People who slag Terry/Gerrard and co off all year round, will soon be singing their names in the pubs, if they score for 'us' in the World Cup .cringe.

Well done Spurs! Back to the glory days of that increduble league and cup double in 1961!!

Far better Spurs in 4th place than the money-men of Man City.

Goes to prove that money alone cannot buy success.

I do hope Mark Hughes is having a quiet chuckle tonight.

Don't make me go through Spurs' transfer dealings for the past few years because they are likely to be more than the top 3 teams and similar to Man City's...

Have to be honest, out of all the teams battling for fourth place this season, Spurs have deserved it.

And like you, i do hope Mark Hughes is having a good laugh, they should never have got rid of him.

Is it not a well known fact, that to reach the dizzy heights of the top four / champions league, it will cost a few quid to do so?

It might cost a bit of dough but i was referring to someone elses comment that "its good to see money alone doesn't buy success" or something along those lines when Tottenham spend the most or 2nd most of all the teams in the league and feel the need to always pay over the odds, usually because they sold that same player a season ago then bought him back after they had a decent season.

Also, check Everton's top four finish a few years ago. Don't believe much money was spent there...
