It might cost a bit of dough but i was referring to someone elses comment that "its good to see money alone doesn't buy success" or something along those lines when Tottenham spend the most or 2nd most of all the teams in the league and feel the need to always pay over the odds, usually because they sold that same player a season ago then bought him back after they had a decent season.

Also, check Everton's top four finish a few years ago. Don't believe much money was spent there...

I am the first to agree about to much money in football.

As for Everton, look at there present position.

I love Sky's billing of tonight's match as "The battle for 4th" when Spurs could still pip Arsenal for third. Why not call it "The battle for Champions League"?

I expect Spurs to beat Burnley, but if there's one team Arsenal would want to be facing on Saturday it's Fulham. That said, Arsenal need to spend some serious cash in the summer because Spurs and City will only get stronger.

Wonder how many more Spurs shirts than usual I will see on the streets of North London today.

Plenty of proud chest-puffing I shouldn't wonder!

Is our Premiership weakening or are smaller teams like Spurs catching up. Don't forget, this the first time in a few years that not only haven't all 4 teams gone on to the knock out stage of the Champions League, but none of them went past the quarter final stage. Chelsea at the top of the league have lost 6 times this season, Arsenal and Spurs have lost nearly 25% of their games. I think we're starting to fall behind Europes elite.
