Reminds me of the 'Gob Pit' at Patcham Fawcet..
Twas in the lower playground, which had a 'Plant Room' down some external stairs to it..
Much football was played in this lower playground, but if the ball went down this pit, whoever last touched it, had to go and get it.. And thats when everyone pilled around the top, swirled up their best greenie and got the poor bastard.. and it could be 20/30 kids if you weren't fast enough, or were stupid enough to argue the toss that as you were 'just trading Panini sticker on the side, and weren't even playing footie' you shouldn't have to even go and get it..
The only way around it was a parker coat.. fully zipped up.. GRIM..!
