Well if he isn't going to make the starting line up, what's the point of signing him at all? If we have any intention of trying to make the play-offs, we won't do that by signing just average players.

So what about our keeper who been signed for back up?

A team is more than just a first 11. Season throw up injuries, suspensions and loss of form He would do a decent job if needed.

I just keep seeing people mention the second season that Dave had with us. Ok it wasn't brilliant but the what I saw in his first season with us, I would definitely feel that he would have something to offer. If only a bit part player.

Looked ok at right back.

Funny that, we were staring at his back in the lower west. The guy at right back was an imposter, though going by the bald patch on his head he is now very good at breakdancing???

According to Brian Owen Dave has asked if he can come back to us.
Apparently had a decent season with Lupo.
Takes a mean spot kick and he did score more goals while here than our "hitmen" did last season.

Bit of a Brave Sir Robin tho eh? Not what we need at the moment IMHO.

I'll have you know, that bald patch is inherited. Just ask my mother and sisters. I only dance whilst drunk and breakdancing is my speciality.

BTW it is in fact me.

Well as l understand it, Niki Maenpaa has been signed to compete with Stockdale for first team jersey, but in any case goalkeeper is a specialist position, we will always need more than one.

My point though, is that if we are serious about mounting a promotion charge, then any player we are looking to sign should be better than 'just average', and to my mind, the way that Spanish Dave's performances fell away two seasons ago he isn't even nearly capable of that any longer.

Yes fine player in his day, but his day has now past.

Lovely bloke, but it's a no from me.

Dicker - Lopez - Colunga

All a slight improvement.

I liked the last two. Best wishes to them all. I would not like to see them in the opposing side. No complaints from me. I would like to see that extra 10% of pace.

With all these former player rumours, would you be happy with Bobby Zamora, David Lopez, Elliott Bennett and Dean Cox all signing as our only new attacking options?

Remember its fans making these comments, i think Zamora is the only one our club might be interested in, but im not sure they do want him as if did id think he would have signed by now, a shame as i would love Zamora back and even Bennett as good crosser of ball.
