I knew we were f*cked when I heard Peter Moores being interviewed last night and he said he felt certain Woakes would come in for Finn.

Footitt would have been the right choice - a dead rubber is a perfect place to throw in a rookie and see what he can do. Woakes has proved on more than one occasion he is NOT a test match player. 13 over, 12 boundaries today tells you all you need to know - always at least one bad ball every over.

Annoyingly conservative selection, all the worse because Jimmy is clearly not right after his recent injury.
