Root just has to go.....a catalogue of errors on his behalf...

Putting SA into bat first after winning the toss
Chronic first innings bowler rotation
Batting collapse (as per norm)
2nd innings slip field positions when we need wickets

clueless at best

Bring back Ted Dexter....... :)

The most curious thing..
We keep making the best batsman (supposedly) in the team captain, regardless of whether they are any good at it. No idea why.

Root OUT.

Although I don't know who to replace him with as the rest are so crap. Stokes?

Saffers 246 ahead with 6 wickets in hand.. That's that then unless we bat miraculously.

If youre not watching then do yourself a favour and turn it on. Archer needs to get de Kock out quickly or there could be carnage..

Archer is just playing into De Kocks hands by bowling short, he loves the short ball. Lead nearly 300 and QDK is just smacking Archer around.

Chasing anything over 250 I'd a forlorn hope for England these days. We have lost, it's just the margin that the Saffers are interested in now.

As mentioned above we have clearly lost this one. This utter battering is, however, also setting us up for an even more crushing defeat in the Second Test.

That’s a very poor way for Burns to get out, he’d played superbly all the way through got the Saffer main threats out the attack, tries to hoik wicketless Nortje and top edges it straight in the air. Strange.

Collapse incoming?

As soon as one of these two are out it’ll be over in half an hour....

When are they going to remember that there are 5 days in a test. Plodding along at 2 an over for the rest of the test would have sufficed.
