Yes mate, it's the tamiya mini, readily available and cheap, 1/24 scale

No mate, I'm just an amateur modeller. They're different class.
Just started a new diorama. Gonna be a knocked out building on a street.WWII scene. Lots of rubble and carnage
Already done layers with airbrush, gonna look good when I've finished it.

You say that mate...jim baumann on there is very approachable should you have any issues. Give it a go mate. There are some insane modellers on there, but very supportive....I am trying to work out how to make a water diorama for waterline ships...it's not easy!

But I really like wooden ships now.

The water is pretty straightforward .
Use the woodland scenics "realistic water" and "water effects"
One does the basic water scene whilst the other goes on top to do the surf .
There's plenty of vids on using these products on youtube.

Also good products are the Vallejo water effects. I use both

One for the closet geeks here. Where in Brighton (or West/ maybe the western side of East Sussex) can one find a shop that sells Airfix or Revell models, like aircraft or warships, that kind of thing. The ones you glue together & paint. If that's your bag.

There used to be a Modelzone on West St/Cranbourne St in Brighton but I think the company folded. I can't see Toys R Us having much of a range- or am I wrong?

Anyone assist with knowledge of a local shop that has a decent range of this sort of thing?

Out of date I know, but I think I read someone here ages ago say that Revell are better as the moulds they use are newer? Which hurt, because Airfix is my/our childhood. Like re watching Camberwick Green and not enjoying it. As much...
