So you are in there with the board? You know what they want? It's all counter-bullshit to make us feel better. Two managers walked because the suits are not risk-takers.

The risk takers being the suits who previously took us to the edge of oblivion......?

Makes me sad to think of the talent we have let slip from this club over the last two years - two promising young managers, not to mention many talented players who loved being at the club and playing here.

Why on earth are we letting the likes of Orlandi and David go? So much for the flair........

I can see the clubs point of view here. Both very talented but David has been poor in most games this season and Orlandi now has a question mark over his long term fitness. 18 Games is not much of a return on what would be quite high wages. Sorry to see him go but, as he said, "that's football"

Possibly because Orlandi was injured too often, and David couldn't perform as well this year as he did last year.

He didn't thank Bloom for support, only Barber.
The OP said none of them really thank Barber or Bloom - Oscar did thank them both.

The club has no real desire to be in the premiership. It's pretty obvious. They are taking small steps to success (academy etc). Let's see what happens this summer...hopefully 2015 is the time we boss the championship.

Tony Bloom put in close to £150 million of his own money. The ONLY chance he has of getting some of that money back, is by getting the club to the Premier League. If we agree that to say "he has no desire to get any of his £150 million back" would be complete nonsense (which is basically what you are saying but we'll let that go), then his options are: a) gamble another £50 million and hope it gets us there, but there are no guarantees it would work, and if it goes wrong the future of the club could be at risk (see Pompey, Leeds etc) or b) run the club sustainably, making it as self-sufficient as possible by investing in youth and setting the budget at a level to keep us in with a shout of the play-offs each year, meaning when we finally get the chance and take it we'll be able to invest to stay in the Premier League without gambling with the future of the club, resulting in long-lasting, sustainable success at the highest level.

So which option would you take?

If the rumours of a relaxation of the FFP rules are true then a combination of both.

You could argue that by spending £50 million on new players including wages and signing on fees would be offset against the vast sums you would receive through sponsorship and tv deals.

Cardiff have received something like £90 million in TV fees this season plus they will have their parachute payment which should make a combined income of around £120 million...wow!

That £120 Million looks good but what is their wage bill? If they went silly then that money won't last long. If they've been sensible (like Palace) then they are in good shape.

You could...

But where does this magical £50m come from? That's a f*ck of a big bet to be making with someone else's money.

What happens if we splash this cash and DON'T get promoted?
What happens if we get relegated and have the wage bill still to pay and none of the "vast sums" coming in?

This attitude is what puts clubs in administration, selling their stadiums and crashing down the divisions.

How many clubs in the PL actually make money? How many of those that make money do so because they are an established global brand and how many because they are actually financing the club sustainability.

After reading both Oscar's and Orlandi's open letters to the supporters it has really made me realise that there is something drastically wrong with the running of our club. Everyone that leaves the club whether it be players or staff none of them really thank Barber or Bloom! Us fans are the ones that they praise! We have a magnificent stadium and a massive future as a football club and we can't even sign Lewis Grabban! (Why is that) Then we ended up with Obika he would of been a average signing in League One let alone play off candidates!

This is a wind up surely? where do we get these people from?

Oooo, everyone is very cross.

I look back 4 years and think the strides we have made are amazing.

Still, an excuse to post this...

Where are these rumours then? Seems they only come form people on forums who don't agree with FFP. Have you any evidence that there will be proposals to water down FFP?
