The thing is with Leeds, is that no matter what people may have a laugh about it etc etc, they arte a Big Club and will attract players who wouldn't necessarily come to some clubs ( like ours for example)

one look at Elland Road and the history of the club would suggest that players would not hesitate in signing. the problem is affording them.

If bates has cleared the decks and debts, then starting from a position of a clean slate may be just what Leeds need.

we have youngsters coming through who with the addition of a few old heads will see us ok next year...our problem is attracting decent players!!!

As much as i agree that we have to keep surviving until we get Falmer, the squard does need adding to. If this season had gone on for another 5 games we could have easily have got relegated.

What we and someone like Leeds want is a Andy Booth type character....100% trier, even though his knees gave up on him 5 years ago and will always give you an option. gets you 10 goals a year and will set up double that.

Andy Booth was given a 5 year contract on 8K a week in 2002. Huddersfield are only just free of that contract.
