All I am saying is that having a team or 11 work horses does not get you anywhere.

I would rather have a genuinely talented and skillful striker who did not run around than someone who huffed and puffed a lot but lacked a cutting edge.

Surely we have Revell already so need someone a bit different in style to him?

You mean like having Healy, Blake and Cresswell in the Championship :jester:

Gonna need 10k a week for him, especially if he scores 20+ a season though :)

You are getting worse...have you taken drugs today..I advise you stop...RIGHT NOW!

hammond is 24 in a couple of months...hardly a youngster!

So are you tring to say..with this currant crop and wilkins in charge we will have enough to survive...because I dont!

If we bring in 3 decent players....it will spur the younger players on....now from what I see....

1. You dont see any point in us going up
2. no point buying a decent striker, as it will put us in debt, when we go back down (thanks mystic)
3. we have enough in the squad to do a decent job
4. and survival is the key

My god.....WHAT A LOAD OF SHI*

got dropped to the subs bench and worse and suffered a 2nd consecutive relagation but probably pocketed 10 time the wages Frutos did sitting in our reserves.

I "understood" BZ to be on about 7k and ickle Leon on 5k plus?? So shall we offer 6k for this skilful striker then? It ain't gonna happen even if we drop it to 3k a week though, is it:lolol:

Hes still with us, started 6 games and 10 sub appearences not been seen for a little while though.

i always thought he was a bit of a big game charlie

shame though.

What we and someone like Leeds want is a Andy Booth type character....100% trier, even though his knees gave up on him 5 years ago and will always give you an option. gets you 10 goals a year and will set up double that.

Knowing the Leeds mentality we will probably try and buy this seasons top League 1 scorer after shifting our current crop.

That would be the lad Sharp?

The average Championship wage in the 2005/2006 season was £3,800 p/w. That was compared to £13k p/w in the premiership. League One average was around £1,300 p/w and League Two was £950 p/w.

I don't think he'll want to drop a division to play for yuo, I'm afraid.

The thing is with Leeds, is that no matter what people may have a laugh about it etc etc, they arte a Big Club and will attract players who wouldn't necessarily come to some clubs ( like ours for example)

one look at Elland Road and the history of the club would suggest that players would not hesitate in signing. the problem is affording them.

If bates has cleared the decks and debts, then starting from a position of a clean slate may be just what Leeds need.

we have youngsters coming through who with the addition of a few old heads will see us ok next year...our problem is attracting decent players!!!

No idea what they were on when they left, but I know for a fact that when we signed Leon, his basic wage was £400 per week!

Sorry, that should have been FACT.
