I can't help but think that it is Dagenham and Redbridges Darren Currie, he looked like he was running with lead weights tied round his ankles as he laboured down the wing. Could cross a ball though.

Thoughts?

I used to think Gerry Ryan (star that he was) looked unbelievably slow and ponderous.

Time yer run ...now ..Gerry.

Wasn't Warren Aspinall painfully slow?

It is a bit unfair, but Kerry Mayo in his later years was certainly lacking a yard or two of pace.

Dirk Lehman was comically slow in that he looked to be pumping his legs really fast just not actually going anywhere

Owusu over the first 5 yards. He was like a steam train, exceptionally slow acceleration but like a battering ram once build up a head of steam.

Les Briley, slow and shit, lucky he didn't last long

I remember a Tottenham fan telling me about a winger/full back of theirs who was so slow that when he started a run, it was reckoned that you could pop out, get a hamburger and a cup of tea from the kiosk and be back before he had reached the byline, can't remember who the player in question was though.
