most of the ppl who want him out dont actually go to the games, anyone who goes to the games can see that we've improved and would of taken a point if not 3 today because we had the better of the chances, had a harsh red not been given.

Round the back, by the bins.
Because your opinion is destructive and only makes things worse, as we saw last season.

Lets try a new approach and get behind the manager (in a non gay way of course). If you can't see the difference between this season and last you know nothing about football.

I would bet my house that we will be top half at least this season.

What's your house like?

This is very De Ja Vu of last year. Micky in/out brigade.

.

It's quite De Ja Vu of Dean in/out, and De Ja Vu of _______ [Blank]*

*where blank = Insert name of manager who has failed to win League 1 in the first 20 games of the season, or not avoided relegation from the inevitable.:US:

Might as well give me your hose now then, 'cos a bottom four side we will remain....again I'm with US on this one.
Suggest you crawl back to the saltmines, Sergei !!

Explain why they are not entitled to their opinion. People still can't understand if someone wants a manager to go it does not mean they love BHAFC any less than the people who want him to stay. They are not disloyal to the club. They pay their money and are entitled to their opinion.

The stats suggest we are going down this season 9from 10 games and on target for 42. If there had been no investment in the playing side that would be understandable but with £ 1 400 000 invested people can expect better.

Whilst people are entitled to their opinion do they not also understand that taking this viewpoint after only a handfall of game puts additional pressure on the playing staff and manager at a time when confidence is low? Perhaps if these people got behind Russel and the team is might actually help? I am a strong believer that this overreaction and constant upset if we are not top of the league every week is one of the main reasons our home form is so bad. It only seems to take ten minutes or one mistake and half the stand are on the teams backs.

I don't want us to be one of those clubs who have 3 managers a season as the fans only have a 10 match tolerance before they are calling for the managers head.

Lets get behind Slade and show a little bit of belief in the guy he deserves that at the very least and the Slade out camp should remember without him we would not even be in this division this season.

We're barely over a fifth of the way through the season (we're just 21.73% of the way through the league season).

I agree it's like last year, but oddly, last year I could see the logic in those wanting Adams out (even though this early last year I wasn't in agreement). This year it seems like the 'out brigade' are over-reacting. I suspect it has t do with Adams being introduced as the man to take us forward and only started going on about "time to get his team" when we started losing, whereas slade has come in and said "don't expect too much, we're rebuilding".

Slade let 14 players leave in the summer, signed six or so new faces and sold Joel Lynch to Nottingham Forest for £200,000. Now that is rebuilding and that's fine, but what exactly is the definition of 'don't expect too much'? Does that mean 'don't expect not to get relegated' or does it mean 'don't expect anything more than league one survival' or does it mean 'you're a fickle bunch of f*cks you Brighton fans so it wouldn't be prudent of me to comit to anything'?

How many times.

Anyone who's been to any of the last four or five games will be able to see that the team isn't actually playing badly. They're playing some nice passing football in patches and I'd say that we're two or three players short of being a decent team.

I'm confident that we'll be comfortably mid-table by christmas.

Sergei what do you think is the key difference between this season and last, from a knowing something about football perspective? What key insights make the difference enough for you to bet your house on us finishing, say, 15th or better?

Slade has spent money, and built a side. The studs up tackle yesterday and the lumbering Vigo last week, plus 3 other red cards already this season (almost 1 red every 2 games) is evidence they cannot tackle. Slade should hit the roof and call extra training. As for Slade out, well only if there is someone better to replace him. I dont see him as a bad manager but if it were my cash (which its not so happy to accept whatever bloom wants to do)then I would ask Coppell to spend the next £Million over Slade, as Coppell is a safe pair of hands, been there, done it and has a brain. That is nothing against Slade, just a judgment call. But Slade is in the chair now and unless he makes more stupid decisions like giving Virgo fee kicks or playing Virgo in midfield and dropping Dicker for a clearly unfit Navaro then support him.

Interesting how Reading have struggled since Coppell left them , I'd have Coppell back in an instant if he wanted to come back

Nowhere near £1.4m was invested in the squad. Most of that is made up figures from the Argus. I am pretty sure the reality is very different.

Also to add to that, we have not had McNulty available all season and Murray has been injured for most of it (2 of our best players in my opinion). Add to that McNulty's replacement being injured and we have not had a settled defence yet. Anyone who saw the last two games will know that the players gave everything for the cause despite playing for more than half of both matches with 10 men. Also, in both matches we should have had a late penalty. If the referee spots them, we have three more points (assuming we score them) and things look very different.

I agree with Gotsmanov. If you want Slade out keep your feelings to yourself.

Everyone is entitled to have their opinion here, just like everyone is entitled to disagree with said opinions in whatever manner they choose. They may choose to express it in a vulgar manner or a more articulate manner but the man that tells you to f*** off has just as much rights here on this board as the man that agrees to disagree.

And now on to my opinion :

I cannot stand it when people feel they have the right to say what they want because they "pay their money".... Do you pay your money to have the right, or to watch a football match.? Just because you pay your money, it doesn't give anyone the "right" to stab the manager/players/board in the back. Lets have constructive criticism but FFS we're barely a quarter of the way through the season. Nothing like giving the NEW team and manager a bit of time eh !!!

The next thing is that yes, we spent around 1.4m over the summer and look what we've got.. A team that is playing substantially better than last. If no one can see the improvement from last season and cannot see the potential then they clearly have not been going to the games. And in any case, do you honestly think that 1.4m = automatic top six, ten games into the season.? Especially with the standard of the teams that are up their at the moment. Did you really think that it was going to be like a flick of the switch ?

Personally I was really proud of the performance yesterday against one of the leagues favourites and the week before against a good Bristol Rovers side. Both with 10 men. (That part, I'm not proud of)

If anyone feels that these performances aren't encouraging then may I suggest jumping off the BHA bandwagon for now and jump back on next season when we are doing well... Will save you a lot of time, money and stress...

Sergei what do you think is the key difference between this season and last, from a knowing something about football perspective? What key insights make the difference enough for you to bet your house on us finishing, say, 15th or better?

My main reasons are:

-better manager
-more talented players
-playing much better football
-good options up front
-a couple of pretty competent wingers
-options on the bench
-we will have a solid back 4 when we finally get to play the best 4 for a run of games (whing, tommy, tunni, jimmy mac)

But despite all this we still have defeatist fans who are a big obstacle to overcome. Remember when teams hated coming to withdean? I don't think it's any coincidence that the loss of the "withdean factor" has happened when a lot of fans love to get on the players/clubs back so quickly.
