Who signed this off? The possible scenarios….

1) One person with absolutely no taste
2) A handful of people with no taste (statistically unlikely)
3) One person with no taste (“I’m always right”) and a bunch of yes men
4) Mischievous Dan Ashworth, whilst on gardening leave

What have I missed?

Not sure how this part of it all really works... maybe the club has no say at all and just have to deal with whatever Nike decides?

It's stripes Jim, but not as we know them.

The big 'H' - are we going to re-brand as Hove Albion? Far too ling a name as it is, and won't it be great not to be little ol' Brighton any more.

(And just to clarify, that's a 'no')

There was a fella at The Goldstone who used to shout “Play up the Hove!”. Maybe it’s the anniversary of his demise, who knows.

When I saw the Panini leak, not going to lie I really didn't like it at all. Having seen the Fatboy launch and the official pictures I don't really mind it. Personally I loved last year's home shirt so this years was always going to be a let down for me. Put me in the Meh camp, I don't love it but I don't hate it either.

A fantastic example of group think. Why did no one have the gumption to stand up and say that it’s crap?

Good point. Maybe they know Barber wouldn't listen?

It is truly shocking. One of the very worst I've seen in 50 years

Done a Frexit, now in London
I identify us with the blue and white stripes, a little flash of sussex yellow is okay but this had too much yellow and I'd not class that as a striped kit. In the famous words of Raleigh Sakers, "You went for line drawings and you ****ed up you ****in' idiot"
Something so simple, but they got it so wrong.
Last seasons was a fine example, also liked the 18/19 one. The other Nike home shirts have been meh in my opinion.

I can't stand it, but my 8 year-old (his name begins with 'H') loves it, largely because of the H.

He also wants me to have the same shirt as him, so it looks like I may be getting it too.

Hove actually
Huge no from me. Contact Barber and tell him it's crap and sack whoever thought of the design.

I'm in two minds about it at the moment (guess Meh) as FBS didn't look comfortable in his slightly too tight one. Mrs D said "Ooo I like that!" when she saw it.

I'll reserve judgement until I've seen it in the flesh. As with the new "crimson" away top which I *think* I saw someone wear a couple of days ago and it looked, from a distance (if it indeed WAS the new one) to be almost fluorescent.

If it is, I'll keep my money and wait for the current training tops to go on sale, as I really like those.

It's obviously a deliberate clumsy marketing strategy:

Year A - release an ugly non-traditional shirt and annoy a large section of fans
Year B - return to stripes to appease those you annoyed the previous year

Southampton have cynically been doing it for years...
