last one i can remember was against Charlton, Easter weekend 79, Mullers threw Paul (the tank) Clark back on the pitch after he was sent flying off following a heavy challenge. The ground was heaving great memories.

Missed Darlington 31K in Division 4: I didn't go because it was raining. Biggest was 29K against Aldershot until I think the first one was Chelsea and then all the others including Wolves (bigger than today) in the League Cup 2-3.

Most crowded by far was Rochdale, 71-2 Div 3. Derby County in the League Cup was not far off.

Me too for the big one in 1958 V Fulham. Remember Jimmy Hill and Johnny Haines playing for them. It was so packed that my dad shoved me over the wall at the South stand end with loads of other kids and we all sat on the running track. We had to keep moving whenever someone took a goal kick as there was no room for the goalie to take his run up!

Although the official gate was 36000+, people there reckoned it must have been closer to 40k as loads of people got in by climbing the gates. Think it was boxing day too which probably added to the crowd.
