Last season. Fat, overweight, loaned to Barnet.

This season, revelation. Fitter (still likes the odd KFC) - outstanding on the pitch.

Still one of the highest wage earners.

If we get back to Div 1, should Mr Butters be given a new contract (It expires end of this season) and if so, how long.




My personal view is yes, give him another year.

Butters has been solid this season. More so than Danny C, IMHO, if you had to objectively choose one out of the two. Absolutely deserves to be kept on.

he should get another year just to see if he can do it, at that level again. why not he has been onew of our better players this year. so unless we sign somebody even better then of course he should get another crack at it.

Sorry but he would be done for pace by 95% of Divvy 1 forwards and probably beaten in the air by 75% of them

I'm all for giving him a 1 year contract. He's earned it this year. Only hope though that he doesn't do a Watto or Mayo next year regardless of which division we are in.
