anyone got a Sherwood song yet?

Tim Sherwood, Tim Sherwood, riding through the Glen,
Tim Sherwood, Tim Sherwood, with his Brighton men,
Now we can all forget,
That :wanker: called Poyet,
Tim Sherwood, Tim Sherwood, Tim Sherwood.

Well it had to be Robin Hood themed with that name!

That is CLASS. Definitely the one to use if we appoint him.

anyone got a Sherwood song yet?

I offered this...

Oscar Garcia,
He isn't he-er.
He came from Barca,
But went away.
We've got no money,
It isn't funny.
Please don't take, our dreams, away

Oscar Garcia,
He isn't he-er.
Now we've got Sherwood,
He'll stay one year,
We've still no money,
It's still not funny.
Please don't take, our dream, away.

I can't see why he'd come here. Last summer perhaps but now he will have plenty of offers in the prem and possibly with champ outfits with bigger budgets.

The arguments in favour of Sherwood remind me of the arguments in favour of Kevin Keegan for the England job.

We'll be towards the back of a long line of suitors, expect Villa, Newcastle and West Ham to push in front of us in the queue if we don't try to get him in quickly.

Would be a quite magnificent and extraordinary appointment, please Tony make it happen.

Is this for real or are you taking the piss? If it is indeed for real, then...........

Are you feeling ok?, as that's one of the most bizarre posts I've seen on here for quite some time, and that takes some bloody doing for NSC!

Are you in fact Tim Sherwood's agent? Or just a salesman selling tat for a living so you've had to work really really hard on your selling technique?

Have I been hiding under a rock and missed all of Tim Sherwood's magnificent, nay, MONUMENTAL! managerial achievements to date for you to claim he'd be "a quite magnificent and extraordinary appointment..."

I'm stumped, really I am? Please help me out here.

i'll help you out: its short memory colouring your vision.

a year his name came up and people roundly said "yes please". when suggested for the Spurs job, most said, yes please he's a good coach. a few poor performances (ok very poor) against top 2 team had him pilloried by a fickle press. but overall he's won 60% of his league games. though to balance lost most the rest, doesnt do many draws. yes he's vocal, but he's also given youth a chance, not pampered to big names thinking they can slack off and plays attacking football.

i can easily see Villa, Newcastle or especially West Ham wanting him.

He's won 60% of his league games you say. Actually, if we're playing stats then it's apparently 59%, but that still makes him the clubs most successful manager in the prem.
Not bad for 5 months in the job eh? And what with Spurs being such a minnow team in the prem, punching well above their weight with no world class players and a small budget

How about this stat:

The ex-Spurs midfielder took over with the White Hart Lane outfit five points shy of the Champions League qualifying spots and ended the campaign 10 points adrift of fourth-placed Arsenal.

Those other clubs are welcome to him. It's a no thanks from me.

So to sum up - no football league 1st team manager experience beyond 5 months as a "supply teacher" in the prem for Spurs - see record above. And yet, somehow he'd be... "a quite magnificent and extraordinary appointment"

Nope, sorry, still stumped I'm afraid.
