Apparently our deadball delivery was shocking. Why on earth is Danny Holla not even in the squad, he is far and away our best corner and free kick taker.

Terrible. Why are we so negative? Not impressed by Hughton at the moment. We never even look like scoring from open play, and then he drops our best set piece taker (Holla) from the squad. Very, very odd.

You can fail to be impressed by Hughton as much as you like, that's your prerogative, but I challenge any manager to come in and produce a silk purse out of this sow's ear of a squad.

Bolton got 3; I'd rather have our 0-0 and a point given the league position.

We'll mostly be shit for the rest of the season. The hope is that we've got a 4-5 'Ipswich' performances in there to go with these bore draws.

I see your point. However, Blackpool and Charlton scored 4 and 3 respectively as well. It seems each game we see the starting line-up and we all say "I like the sound of that", "that looks nice and attacking" and then the inevitable happens.

Hughton knows he has inherited a crap squad and has to muddle through until a massive overhaul in the summer.

Agreed, and grinding out bore draws and nicking 3pts where we can is probably the template for the rest of the season now. Risky, and relies on others around us being dismal, but he doesn't really have any other options open to him at the moment.

I'm more pleased with this point then the one we gained at Cardiff. Two home games now and 6pts is needed. No excuses as we have virtually a fully fit team available.

I really don't understand why Hughton thinks Best should start ahead of O'Grady, or that Holla didn't even make the bench, or that KLL didn't get 10 mins.

4 games 2 points

Could be because Best is Hughton's favourite and trying to prove the point any signing selected by Burke is not quite good enough in this division ?

We had a fella that looked like he was really starting to get in the groove, and then out of nowhere he's benched. Who can blame him now if he wants to pi$$ off back North?

Agree with that - he was getting better every game and was adding shots and goals to excellent hold up play. Hard to see why such an in form player is dropped. If Best was a prolific goal scorer and getting 2 or 3 on a regular basis then that would be a reason, but it isn't exactly like that

My only worry with Hughton is how he managed Norwich. The fans thought he was very negative with his tactics.

Looks like we might get the same.
Is a case of inherently negative, or just tactics to squeeze out as many points as possible with a very average squad? Norwich were never going to tear up the Premier League, were they?

Yes, our squad is poor, but it becomes worse when Hughton decides to play full backs in midfield, strikers on the wing and Leon bloody Best up front. I don't understand why we have never even tried letting Baldock form a partnership up front with COG, it seems so obvious.

How many time is Texeirra going to cost us possession. Surely when Stephens is fully fit, he is impact player from the bench only.

Unfair. Tex had more possession than any other Albion player at 5.4%. For the second game running (usually this is Holla). He bound to make more mistakes. I think I would have replaced him at 67 minutes with Kazenga though.

I think the pitch worked against the Albion style of passing out from the back. And where was Holla ? He should be in the squad and probably in the team.

It's not how much possession you have it's what you do with the ball. Apparently not very much and often the wrong option or loss of the ball (according to the radio), stats can be misleading.

He has one very good game and then several poor ones IMO.
