Shaving - razor blades

I had to stop wet shaving a couple of years ago, because if I cut myself I couldn't stop the bleeding and I use to get a terrible rash on my neck.

I started using a Wahl stubble trimmer. It takes your stubble down to 0.5mm which looks very tidy and you dont get that horrible clean shaven feel.

£30 quid in Boots. Well worth the money and you save a fortune on blades.

Cheap Two blade razors, that does the trick for me and warm water and soap.

Good luck.

A couple of girlfriends before have said how silky and smooth my skin is before the shaving rash has got worse.

Those gels were terrible for me as well.

I wasn't talking about my face though...and you don't want saving rash on your arse I can tell you. Especially on acrylic sheets at the Queens hotel.

There's a company called New Ways that specialises in 'free from' toiletries. Expensive, but their shaving gel is the best I've ever used. Can use the crappiest blades and it's excellent. Lasts for months too, as you use so little.

A good gel over blades every time for me.

Anyone recommend some decent razor blades that get as close to the skin as possible but don't leave a rash? I only need to shave once or twice a week but am left with very sore, red skin and it feels very uncomfortable afterwards.

I've tried the best for a smooth shave and most expensive but even Gillette Fusion are painful and cost over a tenner for four blades. Each one only lasts a couple of weeks as well.

Any tips or recommendations would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I think you need the Gillette Venus but that's just for manscaping :lolol:

I use Gillette fusion or whatever it is these days. Always just buy a big pack of blades usually from asda or somewhere that does them a few pounds cheaper.

I have pretty sensitive skin so tend to shave at night and always find the shave lasts all of the next day. Found electric shavers to be terrible for sensitive skin. I also only shave down my neck and not against the hair (which would be up towards the chin). I personally find that it shaves close enough for me and doesn't give me as bad a rash.

Right enough of the gay 'sensitive' shit. Football!!!!!

Wilkinson Sword Hydro 3 - brilliant. Smoothest shave I have ever had. And the blades last about a month if used 2 or 3 times a week.

I use the Gillette sensor, the one that takes a battery and vibrates (god only knows why it does it). Anyway when I started using them I used to get 1dozen shaves at least from one blade, I reckon they reduce the quality as I am lucky now if i get 3 or 4. Con I reckon as so expensive. Might look at this king of shave subscription thingy. Anyone else use it?

Exactly this

Ooooops except my Gillette sensor is the non battery / vibrator type
