As ever, it's a bit more complicated than you say.

The Reading midfield are able to launch their wingers into space far more often than we are able to put Carole away, who usually has to do all the hard work by himself.

Secondly, and more crucially, the Reading wingers have Kitson, Doyle and Lita to play off, Carole has a bunch of fill-ins and coming teenage players.

One of the truly remarkable things on NSC is to see the Leon Knight (useless finishing, useless delivery, useless workrate) fan club laying into Carole. If that doesn't beat all, I f***ing don't know what does.
useless delivery fron Knight? you have out done yourself this time :lolol:

Sort of makes a mockery of your argument when you're arguing about wingers and then claim Leon Knight's delivery was "useless". He was the best crosser at the club by some way, and we've missed that hugely.

Also for someone so against Leons diving and attitude what did you make of Carole and Fruity diving to the ground at every given chance on sat?

I don't think it is a question of ability, the whole team has the ability to go out there and get a result against any team in the Championship. Look at our results against leeds.

At the moment the whole team is lacking in confidence - it is not fair to single out any one single player.

What we need is a lift from somewhere - someone that can get the team playing as one again then the results will start to come (We really miss Charlie Oatway in Midfield). We are only 5 points adrift of Sheff Wed and Derby - that isn't an impossible target yet. If we can nick a win at Norwich and other results go our way then we are right back in it.

I can't go to many games because I have to work on Saturday's but I do listen to every game on the radio and I have to say that as well as the team - the 12th man wasn't there either - especially in the first half. I normally sing along with the crowd in my kitchen - lol (sad I know) - but on Saturday there was nothing.

Rather than give out individual critisicms - let's get behind the team. What they need is encouragement and an injection of self-believe, something that MM doesn't seem to be able to give them.

We can beat the drop.

Knight crossing - urban myth

Knight's crossing was different to others but no better. His crosses would normally miss the first defender but clear the on coming forwards. This obviously looks better and more threatening but was no more effective.

Knight and Carole are so similar - lots of skill but do not release the ball quickly enough this making it difficult for the forwards to time a run.

Problem was that he didn't want to play on the wing, hence his problems with Mcghe, BTW he wasn't that good at crossing.
